COTTAGE AMENITIES:
A compact and exceptionally well designed space. As of November 1, 2013 the interior will be remodeled. There will be a marble walk in shower and matching vanity. The cabinets will be upgraded. The total space will be slightly smaller (no separate seating area) but overall the layout will be more functional and elegant. It's a perfect hideaway for two.
Flat screen TV with most of the premium channels (including Starz, Encore, HBO etc.) and many music choices.
High speed Wi-Fi.
Queen bed, memory foam mattress. Good reading lights.
Under counter fridge, microwave and coffee maker (with good coffee supplied) as well as other complimentary goodies (juices, chocolates, snacks, bottled water and wine).
Spacious bath with tub/shower combo and large storage space for your personal items. Stocked with toiletries in case you forget something plus an iron & hairdryer.
Private gated/fenced patio with bistro set - surrounded by open space, trees, birds and various other critters. Wonderful afternoon sun.
This is an unusually large property for Carmel - enclosed by a tall stucco wall. So in addition to the privacy you have lots of open space around you.
Fine linens. Extra blankets, down pillows and thick, plush towels.
Pet Policy: We will accept one small dog. Pet fee is $10/night.

NO cleaning fee. Credit card kept on file in case of damage.

Ideal location - west of 'Highway' 1 in Carmel. Six tenths of a mile from village center (15-20 minute walk along a wooded path) with easy access to Highway 1 and all the local attractions. Just minutes from Monterey and Pacific Grove.
During holiday weeks and major event periods the weekend rate applies to all nights; minimum stay may be longer than two nights.
Cancellation Policy: A deposit for the first night is confirms a reservation. Balance is divided into two equal installments due sixty and thirty days prior to arrival. If you cancel sixty days prior to arrival deposit is refunded in full. Fifty nine to thirty days prior: 50% refund. Within thirty days no refund. Any deposit kept is credited to a future stay.
COTTAGE LOCATION DETAILS:
Parking right in front - no steps or stairs. Paved walkway with motion lights at night. Safe and comfortable.
Easy access to highway 1 as well as to the village. Public transportation is a few steps away.
In a quiet, residential neighborhood about a half mile from downtown Carmel (15-20 minute walk on a path though a park). You can often hear the ocean at night.
Big Sur is only 26 miles south of us. Monterey's famous aquarium is about 10 minutes drive.
We are long time Carmel residents who can share a wealth of information with you - much of it that you won't find in the guide books.
Treat your dog to a romp on Carmel's famous beach. This town is very dog friendly.
If the cottage isn't booked immediately before or after your stay we will gladly invite you to arrive early or stay later on the days you check in and out. Officially it's 3PM check in and 11AM checkout but we call you as soon as it's ready.
Note that we don't charge a cleaning fee - that saves you a lot so we figure you can put your trash in the barrels. We'll handle the rest.
