Hi I'm Cliff Palermo. My family and I love providing great places for travelers to call home, while away from home since 2011.
Cliff Palermo purchased this apartment in 2012
You can not believe how Central this location is. Go Green! 98% on the Walkability Index. BIke rental nearby, No need for a car! 15 minute walk to the White House.
Must eat @ El Rinconcito Cafe right next door! First Cup coffee 2 block around the corner on M St. Convenience store, liquor store and grocery all within a block.
Great place, very cozy. Walking distance to convention center and dinning.
Not only is this apartment in a great location but because it is a basement unit it is so quiet considering it is in the heart of the city. The apartment was clean & well maintained and had every amenity we needed. When we arrived to the city sooner then expected, Cliff was able to accomodate our early check in which we greatly appreciated.
This was a great experience for my family. the apartment provided all of the comforts of home and just 2 blocks from the LOC Book Festival at the convention center. We plan on returning next near and staying in this unit!
Really neat little apartment. Well equipped, efficient air conditioning, washer + dryer etc. We had a great time. Location excellent for all central sights and one block away from Metro and Convention Centre. Very good value.
This apartment was terrific! Nicely furnished, clean, well equipped and centrally located to everything we needed to reach in the NW section. Three blocks from the Metro station. Cute restaurant right next door. We'd stay again!
Myself, two girlfriends, and my two small dogs rented the apartment for a week. We made arrangements to arrive earlier than the check in time and upon arrival the apartment was ready for us. The apt. looked like the photos on the site. We found it spacious enough for three females and two dogs. The apartment provided the necessary amenities such as a fully functioning kitchen, washer and dryer w/detergent, plenty of towels, and tv with basic cable. We felt at home while away from home!
There were a few complaints we did have: There is a small back patio which consisted of a small concrete walkway surrounded by a concrete wall. The patio could benefit from some attention. It's not big but it would have been nice if the empty beer cans, ice bags, and other debris had been cleared away. The look of the patio made us feel uncomfortable like the back of the apartment was in an unsafe area. Which is totally contradictory of the apartment location. It would have been nice to have a small grill and a set of patio chairs and a table out there.
There is a coffee maker in the apartment, however it is very small and could use a good cleaning. If you like coffee, I recommend bring your own coffee maker.
The WiFi in the apartment is very slow and most of the time we had problems connecting to it. Almost seems like the wireless router is to far away to properly connect.
The water pipes for the rest of the building can be heard in the apartment. So anytime the other residents flush the toilet, run the water, or take a shower it can be heard in the apartment. Which is not a major problem during the daytime, but at night it kept me awake.
The only "bedroom" is the size of an excellent walk in closet. The bed in this room consists of a mattress and box-spring on the floor. There is no AC vent into this room and it gets quite warm without the air flow. There is not a ceiling fan either. There was no box or pedestal fan in the apartment, luckily we brought our own or else sleeping in this room would be unthinkable.
One additional problem with the room was there were no electrical outlets in the entire room. The rest of the apartment had plenty of outlets, however there were none in the room. Paul was able to bring us an extension cord which was used for the fan and to power one of the ladies medical devise.
Despite these complaints, I would defiantly stay in this apartment again. It's in a great location, and the Mexican restaurant next door is the best.
