We owned 2 two bedroom condos in Amelia Island Plantation from 2004-2011, when we sold them and purchased this 3 bedroom unit. We lock one room off and rent it as a 2 BR, but it's truly our home away from home. We live an hour away in Jacksonville and sneak up there every chace we get. Even our teenagers enjoy it up there. We hope you enjoy it and love it as much as we do! Rick & Dana Hancock
There is no place else on earth that we've found like AIP. It's SO much more than just a beach development; it has hills and nature/walking/biking paths that meander all through the woods and golf course and beach; it's just stunning. There's so much going on there, that you never have to leave or get in your car. The free tram will take you to the shoppes, the spa, or restaurants. You can rent bikes or a golf cart to enjoy the property, (reserve with our property manager when booking). There is truly something for everyone here.
AIP is so much more than a beach front community; the trees canopy the road, the roads are winding with hills that snake around the golf courses and the buildings blend in with the nature. It may be older, but it is more charming and unique than any place you'll find. There's no place better to go walking, biking or running through the trails or on the beach, there is so much to do without even having to leave the plantation. The historic district of Fernandina Beach is only a short 10 minute drive, and is a must see. With 5 star dining, the oldest bar in Florida, and cute shoppes, there is plenty to do there. You won't be disappointed.
**Please note that effective March 1, 2013 the Omni is no longer allowing villa renters to use their facilities. However, our property manager has lined up several golf course options that are much less expensive right nearby as well as golf cart and bike rentals. Please inquire for details on that.
