St. John USVI, 1 Bed, 2 Bath, enjoy luxury with ocean views

My wife and I spent a week at Island Dream in late October. The villa was wonderful, beyond our expectations in many ways. The pictures do not exaggerate -- the view is outstanding, and the facilities are top class in every way -- a gourmet kitchen with everything you might want, decks on two sides and on two levels, multiple places to sit, and a very lovely 'hummingbird garden' with beautiful landscaping and which was a perfect place to eat. The furnishings were very tasteful and the unit was impeccably clean. Working with the owners was very pleasant, and they provided lots of guidance and help in planning for our vacation. There is so much to do in St John -- we went to two different beaches each day and snorkeled for hours, and also did a few hikes -- the weather was great. Frankly, it was hard to leave this villa each monning as we loved sitting on the decks and taking in the view, and we always looked forward to coming back in the afternoons. If we have the opportunity to return, we would do so in a heartbeat!

10 years ago we stayed and were married at Caneel Bay, and promised we would return to Saint John for our 10th anniversary. We researched and reviewed many properties, including returning to Caneel for this trip. Finally we decided on Island Dreams. It was magnificent, peacefully, luxurious, casual, magical, romantic….all of the things we were looking for. At night, we would lie out on the deck and watch the shooting stars mingled in the Milky Way. The pool was so refreshing after a long hot day of hiking and snorkeling. Coral Bay is very, very, very quiet…really. Aqua Bistro offered exceptional dining…Skinny Legs was great for a strong drink…Salt Pond was our favorite snorkeling spot….Ram’s head was well worth the hike. We haven’t made any promises yet…but when we return, it will be to Island Dreams.

My husband and I spent our 14th wedding anniversary at Island Dreams and couldn't have been happier. We were amazed at how the house had every amenity you could think of....from beach towels to professional cookware. Sitting on the porch drinkning coffe and watching the sun come up was truly amazing. Dealing with the owners through VRBO was great and easy. Once on island their property manager was there for our every need. We can't wait to return to Island Dreams next year!
