Rockport has many things to do and we are within walking distance of all of them. You can walk to town or to the beach in 5 minutes. Or you can sit on the patio and enjoy quiet activities. The location is very private and feels like your home away from home.
We just converted from a year-round rental, so all furniture is new and comfortable. If you stay in you have a new flat-screen TV and DVD player or you can readily get on the Internet.
In addition to the lovely little private beach at the end of the lane, you can walk to town where you can visit art galleries, cute shops, and delightful restaurants. If you have a bike, you can store it in the shed and ride all around Rockport, or Cape Ann, if you are really ambitious. Everywhere you go in Rockport you have lovely views of the water. And we can point you to the Headlands, Old Garden Path, and other areas that only the locals know about.
If you want city life, the train is also within walking distance, which means you can take the train to Boston or Salem. And you can get to us without a car, if that is a consideration.

I am a technical writer and still working full time. But I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home at will ... which I do in the summer, so I can enjoy Rockport myself. I have a small unit next door and will be looking for opportunities to make your visit as special and comfortable as possible.
Ellen Lidington purchased this apartment in 1995
We bought the house 15 years ago because we love the coast and sailing. I grew up on the south shore of Long Island and have always been drawn to the water. I find it very therapeutic and relaxing to be in Rockport. This unit is especially sweet and charming. It is an part of a post and beam barn.
