Overview

Stevens Pass Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Picture yourself on the porch with a glass of wine in hand. The tranquil river rolling by with the occasional eagle or duck spotting. If you are lucky even deer. The view can not be better with the snow capped mountains and the colorful sunsets of orange, pink and red.

Maggies Cabin was built in 1936 and has the original river rock fireplace. The roaring fireplace warms you from head to toe. We have all you could want and more!

Features: Skykomish river front property; large covered deck with hot tub and patio set and lounge chairs; leather couches; river rock fire place with glass door insert; wool rugs; full kitchen with coffee/ tea/ hot coco supplied; 2 bedrooms with lots of pillows and down comforters; Master bedroom has a queen and second bedroom has a full; special bottle of local wine or Champange and take home 'cabin' cups to remember your trip!

We are only 23 miles from Stevens pass and offer discount lift tickets. Ski season is very popular...they have now added mountain biking in the summer.

My favorite thing about this property is the covered large porch! It could be snowing, raining or sunny and you can stay covered and enjoy the sound of the river rolling by. I have even spent the night outside on a blow up bed and enjoyed the river's sound as I slept. We added new plush beds this year and they are also a favorite.

There are many close hikes all around...I always walk down to the single lane suspension bridge....very romantic place too. I had friend get engaged on it.

Time to make a getaway for the Mountains!

We also offer discount ski passes to Stevens Pass. Inquire.

For those who can't leave everything behind...we have wireless high speed internet.

We are just over an hour from Seattle...but you feel a world away.

To add to the options...we have Maggies Love shack...It is just across the road from Maggies Cabin and is a must to look at! We had so much fun transforming this place...every door and window replaced. Granite countertops; custom cabinets; dimmers on everyl light switch. No special touch was missed! Check out my website for more information.

About Colleen

I work full time making people look great. I am a hair colorist. I love making people happy. I enjoy the cabin myself and want to share the experience!

Colleen purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Colleen chose Stevens Pass

It is on high bank of the river and the view is remarkable. We first bought the cabin for skiing...but have found it is wonderful all year long. My husband and I were married here.

What makes this cabin unique

We are the only cabin around who has a generator when the weather is stormy and airconditioning when the weather is hot. We also give you a bottle of Champagne or wine to start your vacation off right!

We have stayed love different vacation rentals. This one has everything you need. The beds were comfortable the house was nice and the hot tub was fantastic with a view of the river as I sipped my coffee. I would highly recommend this getaway. We will return.

HotTub heating is broke. No high speed WIFI

  • 2 of 5

WiFi is not "High speed" or even existant for that matter. We all kept getting bumped off of it the whole trip so it wasn't even useable, The property manager also informed us it's "community wifi" so therefore, you get little to no connection. The HotTub broke after one use and after waiting an ENTIRE DAY out of our trip, Charlie, the property manager came to look at it and accused us of not treating it kindly when we had done nothing wrong. It just stopped heating. He fixed it and we got to use it twice out of a 4 day trip. A waste of $700 if you ask me.

Owner's Response: We have a special property with being just feet off the river; covered porch; comfy beds; leather couches; river rock fireplace and peaceful setting all around. I am sorry Maggies Cabin fell short of what you had wanted for your mountain getaway. The Internet is great for email but knowing know that you had wanted to skype and watch movies we are still too remote of a cabin for a great connection for that. The hot tub does have a shut off when the filter is full and water too low. Water can easily get too low with 4 guests exiting the hot tub at the same time. My property manager completely washed tub down and got it going again as soon as we found out it shut off. Thank you again for you feedback. We are always trying to improve and all input is helpful.

BEST ROMANTIC GETAWAY

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have been coming to Maggie's Cabin for our anniversary for the past 3 years and have never been disappointed. The Cabin is stocked with everything you would need and the kitchen even has a keurig! I can not adequately describe how wonderful it is to sit in the hot tub and watch the river flow by.

Maggies Cabin Baring, WA

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed at Maggies Cabin and it was wonderful! We found the cabin to be super clean and cozy. The wood stove is awesome, while there it snowed all day on Monday, February 24th., the view was incredible and so private. The cabin has everything you need to cook with and great added touches. Coffee is supplied for use with the Kuerig coffee maker and upon arriving, there was a card, bottle of wine, candies and two travel mugs for us fro the owner, Colleen. What a nice surprise! The power did go out one evening but we had the fire, lanterns and flashlights and power returned a few hours later. This is a great find and we will surely return.

The only thing that I would recommend is including the mile markers on the directions to the cabin. We did not arrive until past dark and the street sign was covered by blowing snow which made it difficult to find, otherwise a great place to enjoy! Jackie and jeff

Owner's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed the cabin! We do have a generator for power outages ....but I love that you did the real cabin experience. Nothing more romantic than candle light and a loved one.
