VICTORIAN HOME 2 BLOCKS FROM TOWN.

Saluda House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Beautifully maintained Victorian home that has been in our family for over 30 years. Even though it is 150 years old, it has all the modern conveniences. In every room, you will be quite comfortable with plenty of room to spread out if you wish. The flooring, ceilings and wainscoting are showcased in lovely heart pine.

The gazebo-style front porch beckons you to relax with a drink, a book, or games from sunrise to sunset. You will delight in a yard of native wildflowers, a Koi pond waterfall, and gorgeous Dogwoods. The peaceful setting will make your stay even more enjoyable.

Our home is a convenient stroll to Main Street for shopping, antiquing, a cup of coffee, an old-fashioned soda, or a delicious meal. Meander through the quaint neighborhoods or enjoy a brisk run through the pine tree-lined streets. There is something for everyone.

We have a deep family history rooted in Saluda. My husband grew up there and my parents used this home as a summer getaway. My husband and I now own the home. We live in Texas, but travel to the mountains several times a year maintaining our home and yard.I have two Maltese who fly with me and spend time in Saluda. I always have a warm heart the entire time I am there.

Karla T. Ward purchased this house in 1979

This will be our retirement home one day. Until then, we would love to have special people enjoying it as much as we do.

I have traveled to Europe several times. Saluda reminds me of the quaint European towns in Germany. To this day there is still not one franchise business in downtown Saluda. You can't get more Americana than that!

Perfect girls getaway!

  • 5 of 5
The front porch of this lovely victorian is the perfect gathering place for morning coffee, evening wine, or conversation. We spent most of our time on that porch during our stay and loved it. We did venture out to the cute downtown for shopping and dining a few times but mostly we just enjoyed the house....so close to everything but felt like we were tucked away in the mountains. The linens were scrumptious. The house was beautiful and comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. We're already talking about our next trip there. And, Karla is wonderful!

Beautiful Home and Great location!

  • 5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Victorian home. The house was exceptionally clean, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch in the mornings. The evenings on the porch brought back childhood memories while listening to crickets and watching fireflies! The quaint town of Saluda is only steps away-great shopping and restaurants. Our activities for the week included a hike to Pearson's Falls, Ziplining in the gorge,4 wheeling in Hot Springs,NC,and a tour of the Biltmore House in nearby Asheville. Thanks, Karla, for being so helpful and allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! We had a great week in Saluda, and will cherish these wonderful memories forever!

Had a wonderful vacation this week at Karla's! The house is absolutely beautiful! We loved sitting on the porch every morning taking in all the sounds of nature while sipping our coffee. And the lightening bugs at night brought back childhood memories, we don't have them back home like that anymore, they must have all migrated here. This was our first trip to Saluda and we fell in love with this little town tucked away from the rat-race of city life. This is a great place to visit and Karla's house was just perfect! Thank you for opening up your home to us. We look forward to visiting again!

We stayed for 3 nights with our 6 yr old daughter. We enjoyed the home especially the porch. Our daughter loved the koi pond and Mr. Fish. We enjoyed the farmers market on Friday and being so close to the town we walked for dinner. Both the purple onion and Saluda grade restaurant were wonderful! We hiked the green river narrows and Bradley falls as a family and hope to return next year.
