Enjoy lovely St Michaels, MD and its historic downtown ('The Town that Fooled the British.'). Streets are lined with charming shops and excellent restaurants.
This 5 bedroom, relaxed home sleeps 9. Adirondack chairs welcome you to enjoy beautiful waterfront views of Spencer Creek out into the Miles River. We are only 1 mile from downtown St Michaels - a short drive or bike ride (several bikes available for use) - 8 miles from Easton, and a short ferry boat ride to Oxford.
The house includes 5 bedrooms:
1 - king with Jacuzzi bath
2- queen with shower
3 - double (the pink room)
4 - 2 twins (the blue room)
5 - 1 twin (the purple room)
** (rooms 3, 4 & 5 share a bath with Jacuzzi)
The house layout is one large main room that leads out to the porch and yard. There are 2 steps up to one guest suite, and on the other side, 2 steps up to the rest of the house. The layout makes it ideal for folks who have difficulty with stairs.
Large screened in porch with an old Franklin wood stove, fire pit in backyard, hammock, crazee swing (you'll understand when you see it).
The house is filled with original art by noted artists.
The 100' shoreline give you plenty of space to watch osprey, heron and geese while you enjoy a beautiful sunrise from the dock. The boat launch includes a very small sandy area. Crab pots are available to catch fresh crabs from the dock. 2 kayaks (one double, one single) and an old metal rowboat with only a small leak (row fast!) are available for use. BBQ grill available too.
Fabulous public pool a mile away (next to the elementary school). Winery and microbrewery in town, or spend your day on a fishing charter...everything is available in town.
One note of caution - our MLW depth is not so great. Larger boats will get stuck!
Check out the Wine Festival, Waterfowl Festival, Fall into St. Michaels, Christmas in St Michaels, the Antique Boat Sale or any of the other fun activities!

Why Ellen chose St. Michaels
St Michaels is a small, charming town. It's easy to get to, and the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a favorite. Big band night, picnics, crafts shows... it's perfect!
What makes this house unique
Tension fades for us all as we cross the Bay Bridge - things are just calmer and easier in St Michaels. It's peaceful and friendly and fun!
Guestbook comments from the owner
Dear Ellen, Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We had a great weekend. We did go for cocktails at the Inn-went to the brewery and winery-enjoyed the cracked claw and others-twas a great weekend. OH WILLOW loved the water-she was funny yesterday morning. I watched as she innocently sent the ball in the water from the dock. She had been told not to get in as we were leaving in an hour she she then barked and of course she had to go get it. She did not know I was watching-PRICELESS.
