Our home is perfect for a family vacation or small business retreat. After a day of shopping, skiing, or a night of celebration, it will welcome you with privacy, quiet, and comfort. This home was built to ''get away from it all''. The high ceilings and large windows, open loft, wood floors and tile give you the feeling that you are bringing the outdoors in. The huge living room can accommodate table games, group discussions, and even dancing if you roll up the rugs and turn on the stereo. If you feel like cooking, you'll have everything you need. If you'd rather not cook, there is a local caterer only 7 miles away and she delivers. The summer days are warm with cool evenings. There are no mosquitoes so you can sit out on the deck and see the Milky Way overhead at night. The winter sports are incredible. Last season the resorts had 500 inches of the Best Snow on Earth.

The Unique Benefits of this House: Winter in Utah is spectacular. The snow is like sugar. It crunches under your feet. The night sky above our home is covered in stars. The Milky Way seems to be just over your head. On winter nights you can bundle up and sit out on the deck enjoying nature's beauty. Inside, it is warm and comfortable. Everything is right at your fingertips.

Why the Owner Chose Wanship: When my husband and I finally had enough of city noise, we bought three acres in the mountains just far enough away to be quiet yet close enough to enjoy the best of both worlds. We love the outdoors so we have incorporated desert colors and decor throughout the home. We live in the home in the summer and let others enjoy the winter season.

About Karen Mecham

We raised a large combined family and own our own business in Salt Lake. We enjoy golf, biking, and long walks in our mountain valley. We also love to travel so our picture was taken in Vancouver, Canada enjoying crab just plucked from the sea.

Wanship is about 7 miles from Park City and located right on I-80. Take the Rockport Exit and turn left at the bottom of the hill. In about 1/4 of a mile turn left onto West Hoytsville Rd. Take the first left again onto a gravel road, Turn left at the T in the road and turn right at the second driveway.

You are only minutes away from ski resorts, great shopping, fine dining, music, art, the Sundance Film Festival and lots and lots of fun.

Notes: All the main activities (kitchen, dining, bedroom, ensuite bathroom, etc) are on the main floor. No stairs are required inside the house. There is one step from the driveway onto the deck. A ramp for a wheelchair is available upon request. All door are standard size. Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): Just two steps on to the deck and entrance to the home. All amenities on the main floor including laundry room, kitchen, bathrooms, living and dining room. Walk out onto the deck. Air Conditioning: Is not necessary. At 6,000 ft. the house is built to accommodate natural air flow. Equipped with ceiling fans, rooms are comfortable even on the warmest days. Walk out the back door and hike the surrounding foothills. You'll see hawks and eagles, deer, elk, rabbits and other wildlife. Water View: Great fishing on the Weber River within walking distance. Deck/Patio: The deck surrounds the home on three sides. Great for outdoor activities.

We rented the home for two weeks in March. Beautiful home, convenient to Park City and many other resorts. You cannot beat the price. The owners were great to deal with. I highly recommend this property to anyone planning a Utah ski vacation.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
