Brand new gourmet kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and granite countertops, comfortable beds, A/C and in-suite laundry. Barbecue on one of two decks with lovely views of Nanaimo Harbour and Newcastle Island right from the decks off the kitchen or master bedroom levels.

The convenient and central location makes this a perfect spot to explore Nanaimo and the rest of Vancouver Island. It is located on the Sea walk called Queen Elizabeth II Promenade for easy biking or walking access to everything Nanaimo has to offer. It is an easy stroll on the sea walk to downtown and to the seaplanes and ferry terminal.

This exceptional location allows for hours of endless enjoyment watching boats going by. Looking out the view windows you see Newcastle Island a Provincial Marine Park. There are ferries nearby that run to Protection Island where you can enjoy a great meal and live music at the Dinghy Dock Restaurant and Newcastle Marine park where can bike swim or hike or hike.

There are two kayaks with paddles and life jackets for guests to use. This area is the gateway to many scenic day trips in one of Vancouver Islands premier kayaking grounds.

Other interest spots are Wild Play Adventure Park and the many beaches, lakes and hiking, walking and biking trails in the area.

About The Owner

Born and raised in the Vancouver area we have gone to Vancouver Island for many years for great getaway holidays. We currently live in Vancouver and hope to retire to the Island.

Why The Owner chose Nanaimo

We have always loved Vancouver Island and the Nanaimo area. It is so close to Vancouver it is easy for us to 'get away' to. This great location is so close to everything and a bonus is that it is on the waterfront!

What makes this apartment unique

The accessibility to downtown and the views of Nanaimo Harbour, and proximity of Newcastle and Protection Islands are a huge benefit. The ability to walk from ferry or float plane to the apartment make it a great spot to come to even without a vehicle.

A nice suprise.

Walking distance to the downtown harbour. 10-15min walk to the Dingy Dock Pub ferry and even closer for ice cream.

Great Harbour View Condo

Beautifully decorated, well stocked, two level condo. Perfect location by the Naniamo Yacht Club and a short walk to the Harbour Front and Downtown along the Queen Elizabeth II Pomenade. Lots of action seen right from the deck, with watercraft passing, float planes landing and taking off, ferries maneuvering to their destinations. Playpark for kids a short walk away.

This is one of those adages, where you can't tell a book from its cover. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but WOW the inside is spectacular.

The owners were very helpful in arranging for our stay and answering any questions we had. Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

Active waterfron location

We just spent a month at this locaton. The owners are two wonderful, helpful people. They recently refurbished the unit and it is first class. Wonderful kitchen with an island (three chairs to sit at). Dining room has the best view of the harbor and all the activity. We dined there most nights (when we were not eating out) or out on the balcony if we were dining more casually. The ground floor has your garage, the hot tub (used frequently; very private - clothing optional), and the courtyard for sunbathing or dining. First floor has the two bedrooms and a bath (master has AC which we needed for several days). The second floor (top) has the best views and is the living area. I believe we were the first renters for the new owners. There were several items that were needed and we gave the list to the owners and everything arrived within 24 hours. The location is fantastic. You can watch the float planes come and go, three ferries traveling the harbor, and numerous private vessels docking or anchoring. We had cocktails on the balcony (with brand new BBQ grill) and watched the Dragon Boats practice many evenings. If the wind was from the South, we would listen to the concerts from the nearby park. Nanaimo is central to most things on the Island and we explored the wine trail, farmers markets, goats on the roof, found numerous wonderful restaurants (best was Butler at the Mansion in Qualicom). Be sure to take to foot passanger ferries to Newcastle Perserve (pinic lunch) and Protection Island (Dinghy Dock Floating Pub). You can walk into town along the waterfront to access both ferries. Plenty to do from a very convient location. All the comforts of home with new and exciting things to do. Walking, biking, kayaking and all outdoor activities are available. Who could ask for anything more!!!
