Absolute Paradise! Something for everyone...

We traveled down to Costa Rica as a couple with our 3 month old baby.
We were looking for a romantic getaway and an escape from the cold Canadian winter - what we found at Casa Fila Costina EXCEEDED our expectations in every way possible.
The property and house are incredible - so stunning. The photos, although striking, don't do this place justice - it's a gorgeous, modern, comfortable home nestled in a dense and luscious jungle. Every detail has been attended to, from the beautiful handcrafted furniture, to the very well equipped kitchen, to the to-die-for-infinity pool, to the exquisite landscaping. The creative design of the house allows you to feel as though you're living outside, steps from the jungle.
The road up the mountain is an adventure the first time you drive it, but we were old hats by the end!
We woke up each morning to the sounds of the birds and monkeys, and the mist rising over the trees, and ended each night watching the sun set over the ocean from the pool. The weather was spectacular every single day!
The mountain community provides the luxury of absolute privacy combined with the support and community of neighbors at the drop of a hat should you desire.
As we had a small baby, I spent days lounging in the pool, picking fresh lemons from nearby trees, taking easy but beautiful walks in the jungle on trails that the residents of the mountain maintain, and visiting with the incredibly friendly and helpful neighbors who were always ensuring we had everything we needed.
My husband was more adventurous, rappelling down the stunning waterfalls steps from the house, hiking through riverbeds, surfing at Dominical beach (25 minutes by car), even para-gliding, again all with the help and direction of the folks in the "neighborhood".
The grocery store, excellent hospital (not that we needed it!) as well as many delicious local and international restaurants were about a 20 minute drive from the house, along with a very well equipped grocery store carrying both North American and Costa Rican amenities. The mangoes at the local fresh fruit stands were to-die-for!
We felt like jungle kings and queens in a true paradise. We can't think of a more spectacular spot in all our travels. We definitely hope to have the privilege of returning to Casa Fila Costina many more times in the future!

Owner's Response: Thank you for you kind words. The ridge on the mountain behind the house has been deemed one of the best paragliding sites in Central America!!!! We have watched them from the front door glide in the thermals for more than 2 hours at a time.
