We really enjoyed staying in your apartment. It was much bigger than I expected and had everything we needed (except a phone – but we knew that). It was quiet in the bedroom, comfortable, convenient and, of course, spotlessly clean. We had not really ever taken buses before in Paris, but once you learn how, they are much better than the Metro (we didn’t try to go anywhere in rush hour though) and, as you promised, there were several convenient ones within a few blocks of the apartment. We found we could walk to restaurants of many different types and, in spite of the rain, that was pleasant. Having an excellent bakery at the corner was also really great. And I didn’t expect to find supermarkets so close – and to find them open such long hours. Another major plus, of course, was Adrian. Having him meet us at the airport relieved us of the anxiety one has in arriving tired in a different country. It was also a pleasant surprise that he speaks excellent English and his charges were very reasonable. So, thank you for making our stay in Paris so pleasant. We would certainly rent your apartment again if it is available next time we return to Paris.
We had an excellent time in this apartment. The location is great. The bus stop is so close to the apartment, a real plus! The metro is a bit of walk, but not too far. Genevieve is very warm and welcoming. The property manager, Adrian is really great and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed staying in this apartment, and we hope to come back again.
A friend, and long-time visitor to this apartment, recommended it to my wife and me as an escape from the hordes of tourists and an opportunity to live among Parisians. So it was. Our morning coffee and evening wine were enjoyed on the fifth floor balcony while watching the French going about their lives on the street below. A particular joy for us, found just around the corner on Rue Mouffetard, was the the Sunday morning farmers market where we enjoyed breakfast at a corner cafe while listening to the music of a Jazz band and singer that performed nearby on the street. We also enjoyed pastry and espresso each morning just steps away from the apartment door at the bakery on the corner of Rue Berthollet and Rue Claude Bernard. A few steps further up Rue Claude Bernard is a wonderful Italian restaurant, run by Italian immigrants, that apartment owner Genevieve recommended to us. Most of the numerous tourist attractions of Paris can be reached by bus, and a stop on Route 21 is at the entrance to the apartment. A stop for Route 27 is just around the corner on Rue Claude Bernard. Much is within walking distance as my wife and I walked back to the apartment from Luxembourg Gardens and the Pantheon several times. While we very much enjoyed sitting on the balcony, the sitting room of the apartment might benefit from the addition of some comfortable sitting chairs. The futon bed in the living room serves reasonably well as a couch, but the lone rocking chair seemed to be in need of repair or replacement. The queen bed was quite comfortable and we slept well during our one week stay. The kitchen seemed to be well stocked, but we ate out for most of our meals. We very much enjoyed our visit at this apartment and will recommend it to anyone looking to move outside the usual realm of tourist lodging.
My wife and I plus our two college age kids spent a week in Paris and stayed here. It was an excellent choice. The bedroom was setup as twin beds for the kids, and the main room bed was very comfortable for the parents. We loved the location with good access to the subway and many of the sights. Lot's of things were within walking distance. The owner was easy to work with and everything presented in the ad was exactly as it is in real live. This place is highly recommended for a few friends or a small family.
My friend and I stayed at this cute apartment for 3 nights at the end of our European vacation. The location was great, and we enjoyed the grocery store and boulangerie right downstairs. Genevieve came to welcome us, and Adrian, the property manager, is lovely and helpful (insisting on taking our bags up to the apartment and back down again at the end of our stay). The only comment we had was that the wi-fi signal was weak and often non-existant. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at this cute apartment.
We stayed here as a family of four, and loved this apartment. We've been in Paris several times, and this will be our first choice for any future visits. The flat was bigger and prettier than we expected; the photos don't do it justice. It was impeccably clean. Some rooms must have been recently repainted, as they looked so fresh. Lots of natural light and streetscape views in two directions. The bedroom, overlooking a courtyard, was very quiet - a nice bonus in the city. Genevieve and the building manager Adrian were unfailingly responsive and great to deal with.
The apartment was suitable for the 4 of us. Very convenient for those that like to walk and explore. You do have to make a definite time to be let in as manager does not live in the complex. It wasn't really explained to us that we were to phone him, and we travel without our phone! Thankfully Genieve just happen to come by when we arrived. A couple of small, inexpensive improvements could be made to make things just a little better for guests - a new coffee pot, a knife that will cut, more that 1 dish towel as no dishcloth is provided, and new bath towels. And new chairs on the deck as only one was useable. Explore the neighbourhood in all directions. There are wonderful surprises around every corner.
Movies, bowling, walking.visiting all over Paris and around.
