About Kim Tate Roberts

Kim and Rick Roberts live in Prescott. They moved here 9 years ago because of Prescott’s mild climate, great location, small-town feeling with big town activities.

They love the uniqueness of Arizona’s former territorial capital with it’s Western flavor and artistic venues (not to mention the free live music throughout town). Both have traveled extensively around the world and have picked Prescott as their home. Kim is a well-respected local realtor and knows every inch of this area.

Why Kim Tate Roberts chose Prescott

Aspen Cottage is on Prescott's most beautiful and prestigious street, South Mount Vernon, complete with stunning victorians and quaint cottages...all within walking distance of historic Courthouse Square, Whiskey Row and shopping and dining. The cottage is single story and pet friendly with a fully fenced backyard. Only 5 minutes from our award-winning Yavapai Regional Medical Center as well as the VA Hospital.

What makes this apartment unique

In addition to Aspen Cottage, there is a second cottage on the same property: Cedar Cottage. Rent one or both! See www.VRBO.com/420370 for details on Cedar Cottage.

Both are fresh, newly furnished and well-appointed cottages. Our guests love being so close to all the happenings in town. While at the same time, able to stroll back home to the peace and quiet of this tree-lined residential street. Of, course, many also can't wait to explore the 1.25 million acres of Prescott National Forest, with its lakes, mountains, hiking and biking trails.

Some parents bring their kids to the many summer camps in the woods, and then like to stay close by to enjoy Prescott for themselves while the kids are treated by counsellors to the great outdoors.

Why stay anywhere else?

Awesome place nestled in-between beautiful homes on picturesque street! My husband and I were in town to run in the Whiskey Row Marathon and we wanted to be able to walk to and from the start/finish line (downtown Prescott/famous Whiskey Row) and this was PERFECT! It was very comfortable and quiet, which it exactly what we were looking for. My only issue (I refuse to say complaint) was that the sheets seemed a little worn and could be replaced. We will most definitely be back to stay here without hesitation!

Cool Break in Friendly Town

Submitted: May 8, 2013 Stayed: April 2013
We were looking for a relaxing getaway where our dog could have fun too. Aspen cottage was perfect. The Cottage itself is exactly what you would expect from the web-site photos - clean and fresh and very comfortable. Inside is everything your need to self cater any meal (except the food!) is available in the kitchen.Even our dog settled down and made herself at home right away.
The cottage is on a very pretty street of historic styled homes and only a short walk to busy friendly downtown Prescott. We walked to town for a few meals where even our dog was welcome, and very much enjoyed a hot dog and fries (from kids menu) at one of the fancier restaurants.
For nature lovers, (and our dog) there are plenty of trails in and around the nearby lakes and National Forest. We all had a great time.
Owners Kim and Rick are also very friendly and helpful. If what to know more of the history of Prescott or what to do in the area make sure to talk to them.

Aspen Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Prescott. The cottage was convenient to the main part of town, located in the "historic district" of lovely old homes. The neighborhood was very quiet. The owner was helpful and made us "feel at home." The property was clean and well maintained, and the owner was putting in spring flowers outdoors. This unit is probably best for a couple only, as the bathroom is off the bedroom, and would be somewhat inconvenient for other people to access at night.

Aspen Cottage Spring Getaway

I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend Kim's Cottages to others wanting a cozy place to stay in Prescott!

Kim, the owner and manager was prompt and courteous in her correspondence. She and I hit it off immediately. She was especially helpful with ideas and information of what to do around Prescott.

Location of the property is on a sleepy residential neighborhood located a few blocks from downtown and set back from the street. It's very quiet and safe. There is plenty of parking in the gravel lot, and even has pretty flowers in the landscaping.

Inside the cottage was immaculately clean and cozy, very nicely decorated and well maintained. It's not a palatial place, but it was perfect for a romantic getaway, or even a small family. The full kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. We didn't use the washing machine or dryer, but it was good to know it was there in case we needed it. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels, and even stocked with Aveda hair care products - Wow!

My boyfriend and I went hiking in the nearby trails at Thumb Butte. We mainly stayed in and cooked our own meals, but the downtown is within walking distance if we wanted to go have a few on Whiskey Row.

The listing was accurate, though we didn't see the outdoor grill - no matter, we prepared our food in the full kitchen instead!

Owner's Response: Hi Regina! I'm so glad you enjoyed all of the creature comforts at Kim's Cottages. I hope to see you again this summer. There remain a lot of hiking trails to conquer! Warm regards, Kim

A Week in Aspen Cottage

5 of 5
Submitted: April 2, 2013 Stayed: March 2013
My husband, black lab Abby and I spent a very enjoyable week In Prescott staying at Aspen cottage. It was perfect for the three of us, particularly the easy access to the hiking paths of Acker Park only one block away. Leashed dogs were welcome so we took full advantage. Also, the location of the cottage amongst gorgeous Victorian homes in the historical district of town made for delightful strolls. The center of town, museums, shopping, and restaurants are also within walking distance and we enjoyed sitting on a park bench watching the colorful characters downtown. The cottage, itself, is very nice, probably best for two people only and the small yard in the back was very handy for a pet. We look forward to spending another week in Aspen Cottage next year.

Owner's Response: Hi Mary!

Glad you, John, and Abbey enjoyed the yard, location and amenities. The proximity to Acker Park seemed particularly ideal for Abbey. As I gardened, it was nice to see you come and go, making use of all that Prescott and the surrounding area had to offer.

See you next year!
Warm Regards,
Kim
