Madison Chalet Rental Photos and Description

Chalet, front Bedroom -2 bunkbeds, master - queen and single,1 Bath (Sleeps 8)

Quaint and cozy chalet located about 5 minutes from Conway. We are minutes from the hub of some of the finest restaurants, skiing and snowmobiling in all of New Hampshire. About 5 miles to King Pine, 10 to Cranmore, 20 to Attitash and Black Mountain, 30 to Wildcat and 35 to Loon. As you pull into our neighborhood you notice several chalets on a paved road, winding up and over hills. You pull into our large carport to find our chalet you’ve rented. Let it snow overnight, as your car is protected and you are too. Our chalet has two levels. Upstairs is our fully stocked kitchen and dinning room with sliders that lead out to the back deck with grill, chairs and table with umbrella. We have an open concept living room/family room with sliders that lead to the front deck and chairs. We have a wood burning stove for those frigid days and nights. We have cathedral ceilings and the warm glow of knotty pine wood walls. We also have telephone, wireless internet, as well as our washer and dryer. In front of two recliners is the entertainment unit with TV, DVD and VCR. Downstairs is the bathroom and bed rooms. Long front bedroom has 2 bunk beds to sleep 4 comfortably. Master has queen size pillow-top bed and a twin at the opposite end of the bedroom, for the youngster who can't sleep alone. All beds have pillows, blankets and comforters.

We have a handy community market located just down the street and 2 miles away you are back out on route 16. Conway and North Conway has everything you could ever want in a New England town and the very reason we vacation here. It is the perfect location for the vacation you want memories based on and a tradition you will want to pass on to your family.

Please feel free to email us with any questions, as I generally check my email daily and quite often can return emails within a few hours.

Thanks for looking and we hope you can spend some time in our chalet, in the beautiful White Mountains.

Best Vacation Ever!

  • 5 of 5

Our children spent months eagerly looking at the online pictures of our "New Hampshire house," and we couldn't have chosen a better chalet for our week-long vacation. The pictures are an exact representation of the house, which had more than enough space for two adults and two children (ages 8 and 10). They were thrilled to each have a top bunk, although they often wound up sharing the lower double bunk. The queen size bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable that we slept wonderfully. Our worries about the lack of air conditioning were unfounded - the lower level was comfortably cool, and opening the sliders to both decks provided a wonderful cross-breeze. The kitchen is outfitted with every tool and gadget imaginable; we cooked breakfast every morning, and although the area has many incredible restaurants, our favorite meals were sandwiches from Community Market, eaten on the back deck. The washer and dryer are tucked behind the kitchen table, and doing laundry was simple and convenient. We made great use of the fire pit each night and were able to truly relax. It was a one minute walk to the lake, and we loved hosing our feet off in the carport before entering the house and hanging our water shoes on the outdoor hooks. We had shopped ahead and traveled with our food, snacks, and toiletries, but will come empty-handed next time since Dollar Tree, Shaw's, and Wal-Mart are 10-15 minutes down the road. The house is in the perfect location - at the base of Route 16 into Conway, at the end of the Kankamangus Highway, 15 minutes into Fryeburg, Maine, and close to the Lakes region. We would highly recommend this chalet to anyone traveling to the area, and can't wait to return!

Great family getaway location!

  • 5 of 5

This chalet was just what we were expecting and fit our needs for our family vacation. The eidelweiss village had a nice little lake and playground that was easy to walk to and very clean. We were minutes away from all North Conway establishments but off the beaten path and quiet. We did need to run the dehumidifier the whole time and empty it frequently which was not surprising because it rained most nights. Our little family of five really enjoyed it, had plenty of room and things to do, and everyone was satisfied with our cozy chalet. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice Place... but

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at this chalet the last week of June 2014. The chalet is decorated nicely and has several features that make it idea for spending a week there: fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, nicely furnished, nice quiet location. I did have a major issue with the house while I was there. The minute I walked into the front door I was greeted by a strong musty, moldy smell coming from the downstairs. I couldn't determine the source of the smell but did notice all rooms seems to have the smell. I tried to clean the downstairs thoroughly, washed everything I could, had the dehumidifier going non-stop, but the smell did not go away. Being very allergic to mold and mildew, I was forced to sleep on the sofa upstairs for the entire duration. The tiles in the downstairs bedroom were actually damp and even after wiping them dry with a towel, I would come back a few minutes later to find them damp again. I am not sure if there is a problem with the foundation or poor ventilation in the downstairs, but if you have trouble being around a musty, mildewy smelling environment, then you probably want to find another healthier place to stay. Other than that, it was fine.

Great location. Comfortable.Perfect getaway spot!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for an extended weekend and enjoyed it very much. From the comfortable interior and the private outdoor setting it was relaxing and convenient. My wife and I hung out at the fire pit and talked for hours, with the sound of the brook in the background it was great. It has all the amenities you would need. Bill was easy to deal with and accommodating and lets face it the price is right. I recommended this property. Enjoy!!

Idyllic chalet stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend stay in this lovely chalet and found it to be everything we were hoping it would be. It is idyllically cosy with its log cabin style interior, wood burning stove and all, and decorated in the woodland theme befitting of the area. It is very private too with only a couple other houses within view here and there, so you can sit out on either patio, grill, listen to the stream that runs along side and you'll feel nicely secluded. It was very functional too with all utensils we needed for self-catering as well as a washer and dryer (just remember to bring sheets, towels and toilet paper as per instructions). The location is good too, being only a short drive from North Conway and close enough to southern entrance into the White Mountains as well. The owner is great with communication and provides clear instructions for anything you might need to know for your stay, and he made it very easy for me to book this at as short a notice as 24 hours. I'd highly recommend this chalet and would definitely stay again if visiting the area.
