This Caribbean style home sits 200 feet above Chocolate Hole Bay. It faces west with memorable panoramic views of St. Thomas, St. Croix and other small islands. Watch the boats sail by and enjoy the cooling Caribbean trade winds from the deck overlooking the beautiful turquoise sea. Find delight in the spectacular ocean views and sunsets from most every room in the house. Enjoy the sounds of the waves crashing on the shores of Hart Bay to the East and Chocolate Hole Bay to the West.

The villa has a large living room with cathedral ceilings and an attached covered deck and dining area on the main floor. There is another large indoor dining and entertainment area off of the kitchen. One of the home's most distinctive features is the beautiful island stonework, including large arched doorways in an open air style atmosphere. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all the extras including attractive dinner and barware and a mahogany bar. The living area has a flat screen 'Smart' TV, Wi-Fi, and Stereo/CD/MP3 player.

This home is very tastefully furnished with mahogany and sea grass pieces and colorfully decorated with original local art and Caribbean crafts. The master suite has a private deck with a 6 person hot tub, outdoor shower and secluded lounging area. The second floor bedroom offers a private sitting area and half bath. The lower level suite provides a full kitchen, living room, private bath and master bedroom. The mature landscaping boasts fruit trees as well as many beautiful flowering plants and allows for several peaceful nooks to enjoy a restful stay.

Chocolate Hole is a great neighborhood to walk in and it is less than a mile downhill walk over to the Chocolate Hole beach. We are a ten minute drive from Cruz Bay, where you can enjoy dining, entertainment and shopping.

If parties of four wish to use the ground floor suite in addition to the loft bedroom, there will be an additional (non-taxable) $100.00 cleaning fee.

My husband and I recently bought this wonderful vacation villa, August 2014. We live in Long Island, New York and enjoy the Northeast beaches while not in St. John. Favorite activities are include swimming, snorkeling, boating and fishing.

We look forward to providing a memorable relaxing experience for all of our villa guests. Our on-island villa manager will be on hand at all times during your stay, and will meet you at the ferry dock upon arrival. After picking up your rental auto, you will be guided to the villa and receive an orientation to the island if you are not familiar with the area. Our manager can advise you and help make reservations for any activities you want to plan for during your stay.

Stunning Views and Beautiful Home

We stayed at Sweet Dreams Villa in February and are still telling all of our friends about the lovely home in Chocolate Hole. The house is indeed "funky" but it was perfect for our group. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we could possibly need with the exception of an ice maker (which was easily remedied by a trip to the grocery store 5 min away to get ice). The views are absolutely amazing. We watched the sunset every evening from the beautiful porch. The house is very spacious and perfect for a group. We felt we had plenty of privacy from our friends, but there was great common space. We were a bit leery that there was no central AC, but the bedrooms got cold very quickly and the rest of the house was fine temperature wise except for late afternoon. The owners were very responsive and made sure we had everything we need before we left for St. John. The property manager was also very responsive to all of our needs during our stay - we notified him that one of the beach chairs broken and he brought a new one to the house within a few hours. The porch and deck are amazing spots to eat and we loved sitting in the hot tub in the evening watching the stars.

I would highly recommend Sweet Dreams Villa - we had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to return.

Super Sweet Dreams

This villa is lovely and a bit funky! Beautiful local granite/stone walls partially inside and out are charming but make the interior spaces very dark and the lighting in the living area at night is VERY dim, making reading there almost impossible. The deck is a wonderful place to hang out with a nice view over Chocolate Hole and sunsets over St. Thomas, but watch for very slippery tile floors inside and out when wet. Kitchen was very well-stocked except for a few necessary things: there is no icemaker and no ice cube trays to make ice (with purchased water); no dish drainer and no knife sharpener, all of which are needed. The gas grill was used nightly and it really could use new burner deflectors and grill grates. The owners provided a lovely supply of deli provisions which was a wonderful welcoming gift. The hot tub looks brand new and was perfect at the end of the day. The owners had taken great care in labeling light switches in the house which was really necessary as they weren't intuitive. The "funky" description of the house arises from the location of a first floor back bathroom consisting of 2 sinks and a toilet, completely unable to be shut off from the rest of the first floor! No door separates this area from the main hallway! There is, however, another full bathroom in the hallway with a nice, big, open stone-walled shower, sink and toilet. The master bedroom is upstairs with a king size bed and a very small powder room - no shower or tub. There is a very nice washer and dryer on the lower level deck, along with beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, etc. There is a separate "apartment" in the lower level of the house that can only be reached by going through the living room of the house, then outside the house onto the deck and down a flight of stairs. The only entrance is through sliding glass doors. It consists of a living area, kitchen, queen bedroom and bathroom. It is being newly renovated.

The drive up to the house will be daunting for those not used to St. John properties! Iguana Rd. is a steep, rocky, and rough incline. You need at 4wd vehicle; the driveway to the house itself is steeply sloped down.

We were fortunate to be able to move our belongings into the house early in the day while the cleaning crew was there. However, we had a very cursory orientation to the house by the property manager who belatedly told us he was in a hurry to orient other renters in their houses and left us kind of abruptly.

As new owners of this villa since August 2014, we have made many improvements this past year in the house and are constantly working to make it as perfect as possible for our guests. That being said, we will immediately correct all of the small issues mentioned and are considering the other comments for future improvements. We would like to point out that we consider the bedroom on the main floor to be the master bedroom, with an outdoor balcony and close access to the full bathroom and additional half bath. All guests have access to the main floor bedroom and the loft bedroom for their use. We welcome vacationing guests to contact us personally by phone or email if there are any issues that need to be addressed during their stay. We want all of our guests to have a positive experience and to enjoy St. John.

The Perfect Sunsets

We recently enjoyed our first stay on the island of St. John. While the island was wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed the villa. I woke early every morning, put on my villa robe, made coffee and sat on the deck enjoying the view and the warm Caribbean air ...perfect! And then ...sunsets from the deck were even better! We loved it. The villa is nicely laid out and decorated, very comfortable and relaxing.

Beautiful Villa with Great Location!

We stayed at the villa the week of January 10th. Sweet Dreams has amazing views, and we liked that it wasn't a long drive from Cruz Bay. Yes, Iguana Road is a bit steep and rough, but it is worth it to arrive in a peaceful and beautiful setting. The villa itself has everything you need and is tastefully and cheerfully decorated with that "island feel." We really appreciated the welcome package as that has never happened before on either our last stay at St. John or St. Thomas. With recent updates we could tell that the owners have worked hard to make this a special place and take pride in this immaculate home. We had two couples stay at the villa, but with the beautiful unit downstairs, it would be great to have three couples spending time together. Missing St. John already!

Paradise above Chocolate Hole

After a tough east coast winter, we arrived in St John ready for some sun and relaxation. What a house! As much as we loved exploring, hiking and going to the many beautiful beaches of St. John every day, the best part of the day was returning home and having a glass of wine on the deck while watching the sunset over the beautiful Chocolate Hole bay. The house is lovely beyond description - magical is a better word! It has a well equipped kitchen - we preferred staying in and bbq'ing/cooking most nights (although the wonderful property managers suggested a few excellent restaurants that we tried and loved) - and the furnishings are not only beautiful but extremely comfortable. The house is beautifully designed to take full advantage of the wonderful evening breezes. I haven't slept that well in ages! I look forward to going back to St John in the future and wouldn't even bother trying a different rental. This house is perfect! Kudos to the owner and her wonderful property managers for making our stay so memorable!

Breathtaking views...

My husband and I couldn't have made a better selection for our 25th Anniversary. This was our first visit to St. John and Iguana Inn certainly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, being greeted by our host at the ferry and brought to the house which was stocked with food essentials to get us started after a long flight...everything was perfect. This is in a very private location yet close to town. The views were spectacular. This home was very welcoming and comfortable. We were off exploring/snorkeling every day and looked forward to our return to Iguana Inn in the late afternoon for relaxation and gorgeous views. The evening breezes were cool enough so we never had to put on the AC. The house was well stocked with all the essentials - beach chairs, coolers, plenty of towels, etc. We look forward to returning to Iguana Inn!
