House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-9)

This home sits high on a bluff with 180 degree sweeping vistas of Lake Michigan, Little Traverse Lake, Pyramid Point and the Manitou Islands.

There are 4 bedrooms with 1 King, 2 Queen, and 1 Full, sleeps 8 with 2 full bathrooms. Roll away cots are available. Washing machine and dryer in basement along with a ping pong table for rainy days.

Open kitchen and dining room with a sliding door that leads to the large deck where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets and lake views. Adirondack chairs on the deck and dining table and chairs invite outdoor living. The comfy living room has a large wood fireplace inviting family time; sun room off of living room with great views.

The large grassy front lawn is perfect for croquet, volleyball or reading in our hammock. The cottage is stocked with games, and a dvd/video player and library.

Conveniently located 1.5 miles to pristine Good Harbor Beach, 10 minutes to Leland and 15 minutes to Glen Arbor where shopping and great restaurants abound. Golf courses are down the road. Traverse City is a 25 minute drive. Enjoy all the Leelanau Peninsula has to offer. Hiking, swimming, wine tasting and relaxation awaits you.

We have been enjoying the Leelanau area for many years. It is easy to get to, has amazing beaches for walking and rock collecting, clear water for swimming and sailing, and quaint towns to explore. We love to visit in all seasons.

What makes this house unique

We purchased this 2nd home so we could enjoy the leelanau area year round. We fell in love with this house the moment we stepped onto the deck and experienced the breathtaking view. We love the secluded beaches for walking and the numerous hiking trails.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • $1800 weekly rental. Upon booking a non-refundable booking fee of $200 is

  • The booking fee will automatically turn into the security deposit and will be
  • refunded within 30 days after your stay pending damage inspection.

We gathered in Cedar for a family reunion. The listing description and the photos only begin to entice you to rent this property. You have to experience all it's charms to realize what a great time you have in store. The house, yard and neighborhood are well maintained and groomed. Days start with sunrise on the deck with coffee in hand to plan the activities for the day. So much is close by - hikes through the woods or on the beach, a stroll around a nearby town to poke in galleries or grab a freshly baked pie, running through Sleeping Bear sand dunes, wine tasting at a local vineyard, fresh corn from the local farm stand or a swim in Lake Michigan. My favorite was rock collecting. The variety of colors is amazing. The jackpot are the Petoskey stones which are petrified coral and used in jewelry. There wasn't enough time to do everything so we'll set a date to return. No question, I will recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxing getaway!

Beautiful location. Quiet area. Easy to get to nearby towns. 2 of the 4 beds were so comfortable, we wanted to take them home. We swam at Good Harbor beach every day (a 3 minute drive from the house), it was perfect (no rocks). Sat on the deck every evening to watch the amazing sunsets. Thank goodness for the reliable AC, it was very hot when we visited. We loved this place so much we are already checking our calendars to book another visit!

Leelanau County at its best!

This property is very comfortable and the description was accurate. It is nicely located with easy access to all that Leelanau County has to offer. The views are extraordinary! Most of our time at the home was spent on the deck. Very spacious and great open concept kitchen. Didn't use the fireplace as we had weather in the 90's, but our granddog loved the automatic sprinklers! Thanks to Kyle and Betsy for a warm welcoming package and the use of their wonderful home. We loved it and will be back! We highly recommend staying here if you don't mind not being right on a lake. Took short trips to Leland, Glen Arbor, Suttons Bay, Cedar, for Polka Fest, and Traverse City for Cherry Fest. Also had a wonderful pontoon boat ride on Lake Leelanau and played golf at Manitou Passage and Sugar Loaf's Old Course. Can't beat Leelanau County! It's awesome!

Amazing views and relaxing stay

Our family had a wonderful stay and it was so nice to come "home" to our beautiful perch up on this ridge. We loved relaxing in the comfortable living room in front of the roaring fire - such a beautiful hearth. The kitchen had everything we needed and we absolutely loved hanging out in the Adirondack chairs taking in the panoramic view of both lakes. You can tell that this is the home of artists from all of the touches. The night sky is spectacular- we stopped counting at 20 shooting stars one night.
