Relax beside the private lap pool with a good book, nap under palm trees in a hammock, enjoy sunsets or an early morning walk on the 4 mile beach just outside the door. A rancho, the covered bar and barbeque area by the pool, provides ample outdoor entertaining space. Outdoor fountains at the entry and by the pool add to the atmosphere. Another rancho by the beach completes the picture.
Nearly two acres of manicured and lushly landscaped grounds overflow with gorgeous tropical plantings, orchids and palm trees to provide you with a serene and private getaway.
Adventures Await You: Numerous adventures await you close by. Beach activities include surfing, swimming, body surfing, boogie boarding, fishing and shelling. Nearby are zip-lining, sportfishing, golf, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, tennis, boating, horseback riding, canyoning, and hiking.
View the abundant wildlife Costa Rica has to offer. Flocks of pelicans soar on the breezes overhead. Parrots chatter as they dart through and feast on fruit each morning. Butterflies and hummingbirds are frequent visitors and the grounds are landscaped with plantings designed to attract them. Monkeys, sloths and iguanas live close by and pass through the property regularly. Various species of sea turtles nest on the local beaches, and if you're lucky, one of the sea turtle conservation organizations may be doing a baby turtle release during your visit that you can participate in. Grey whales also migrate past out in the deep water at certain times of the year.
Other Information: The home is convenient to San Jose and the Central Valley, with close proximity to several of Costa Rica's spectacular national parks: Manuel Antonio, Carara, and a bit further away, Marino Ballena.
The small, authentic Costa Rican town of Parrita is close by.
Many good restaurants are located a short drive away in either direction. The house also features high speed Internet and a Wi Fi network. A flat screen TV combined with a Roku box, as well as a well-stocked games cupboard provide indoor entertainment options.
