CASA BOUGAINVILLEA called by many of our guests the most beautiful house on the Beach in Sayulita in possibly the finest location.

The property was purchased almost 30 years ago when Sayulita was still an unknown, tiny fishing village, population under 200 , no building over one storey, no bridge, and the entire Beach was yours for the asking and so we chose what we considered the best.

No need for a car, as you walk out the Entrance Gates and you are in the Sayulita Plaza in less than five minutes.

Or walk down through the gardens onto the Beach and one hundred yards along the sand brings you to all the Beach restaurants.

Home to Internationally known artist, Evelyne Boren, when she is in residence in Mexico and named by PBS in the One Hour Special as one of the 10 Leading Artists of New Mexico.

We have a full time, year around staff of three who have been with us for almost 20 years and live in a house we built them right outside the entrance gates...readily availalable without being underfoot.

CASA BOUGAINVILLEA is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable, with three master bedroom suites and four bathrooms. Each of the bedroom suites has its own private deck overlooking the Pacific and Sayulita Bay. In addition there is also a Huge Terrace opening off the Main Living Room, with its 20 foot ceilings, great for breakfast each morning prepared by our housekeeper, Tomasa, and served by our maid Chavela. Or sipping a cool drink in the evenings while watching the sun set over the Pacific horizon.

One of our recent New Year's guests wrote that his family felt like 'Rock Stars' living in such splendor and attended to by such an excellent staff.

Each year Evelyne is also in Europe for two or three months. I teach a workshop in the Provence in France and one in Tuscany. I only teach where I am happy painting.

Evelyne Boren:

In my earlier life before becoming an artist I was an underwater stunt woman in motion pictures. First woman in the World to swim with and ride ride a Killer whale 'Namu'

November in Puget Sound, water 42 degrees.

Appeared on 'What's My Line' and 'To Tell the Truth'. Neither Panel guessed my Occupation.

Why The Owner chose Sayulita

My husband and I wintered in Puerto Vallarta in the early days, until it grew too large for us, thirty years ago.

Searched the entire Pacific Coast and decided Sayulta was the place to build. At that time the entire Sayulita Beach was yours for the asking and so we chose what we considered the best

What makes this villa unique

To breakfast each morning all Winter on our Terrace overlooking the Pacific and Sayulita Bay, completely spoiled by our wonderful staff of 20 years.

Then in the evenings enjoying a glass of wine on the Terrace while watching the sun slowly set over the horizon. We are totally Blessed

Surfing in Sayulita, Mexico offers a fantastic additional to any vacation to the village. The waves are perfect for all skill levels including beginners (first time), intermediate, and advanced surfers. Waves can break in the bay all year round with the best months being December through early April, as that is when the north swells hit. Surfers were some of the first foreigners to visit Sayulita in the late 1960's where they found warm water and consistent waves all year-round.

To this day, the Sayulita surfbreaks and waves have fulfilled the tropical

There are two surf spots in Sayulita; a right (longboard) break in front of the village and a left (faster) break in front of the campground. Surfboard rentals can be found at a variety of locations on the beach in front of the right break.

Notes: CASA BOUGAINVILLEA is located on the Main Beach of Sayulita between the restaurant Don Pedro and Via Amor. Walk down onto the Beach and all the Beach Restaurants are 100 yards walk along the sand with the Sayulita Plaza another 50 yards. No need for a car as you can walk everywhere in Sayulita. It was beyond what I was hoping for and I loved every square inch of it. I coundn't imagine spending my 30th birthday any other way!! I never wanted to leave the house because it has the most incredible energy, art, furniture, views and little details that kept adding up. Everyone there wants to come back every year so you may be hearing from me again soon! My sister also got engaged while we were there so Sayulita will always be dear to us and staying in your home will be the best way to come back and visit.
