Incredible home & hosts!
The Geronimo House is by far the best house renting experience we have had. We always enjoy the houses we rent, we gave up hotels years ago. We have rented coast to coast and further. The hosts Lance & Holly have gone above and beyond to make our Taos stay a fantastic one. From the great, clear and very pleasant communications to the smallest details of the beautiful home- everything is top notch. Great location, incredible beautiful, clean & comfortable, very well equipped kitchens, fantastic towels and robes, private secure yard for the little ones, plenty of space for everyone. Simple a wonderful stay. Thank you Lance & Holly!
My wife and I along with our teenagers spent part of Spring Break at this wonderful home. There is plenty of space with the three living areas, two kitchens, and isolated bedrooms for each to have their own private space when they wanted, but it also has large dining areas and tables for everyone to get together and eat or play games. If I counted right, it had five fireplaces! The patio and yard area is wonderful, along with the lush gardens. We didn't have time to enjoy the hot tub, but it was hot and ready to go. It is a simple half mile walk or so to the Plaza and lots of shopping, and just two blocks from the historic Ledoux street. We drove to the Taos Ski Valley and went snowmobiling, and it only took about 25-30 minutes to drive directly to the slopes (roads were dry). We also drove to the Rio Grande Gorge bridge, (about 15 minutes), and it was also well worth the drive. Overall, this is a perfect getaway for anyone wanting a nice, luxurious place to stay, relax, and enjoy Taos and the surrounding area! We will look forward to staying here again!
This home is beautifully decorated and a joy to stay in. My friends and I stayed 3 nights on our annual motorcycle trip from Conifer, CO to Taos, NM. The home easily slept all 10 of us. The couples got the bedrooms and the singles slept on sofas/sofabeds. Even the sofa was comfy! Because of the large number of bathrooms, there was never anyone waiting to use a bath. In the morning over coffee and the evening we all gathered at the big table off the main kitchen. I particularly liked the fact the kitchens were stocked with basics and we didn't have to run to the grocery store first thing like I've had to do at some timeshares. The location is perfect too! We walked to Ricky's (one of our favorite breakfast places), Kit Carson Park for the arts & craft fair, and the plaza to do some shopping. We hope the Geronimo House is available next year!
Fit everyone (we had 11) and it was great to have 2 kitchens and 2 fridges. Loved the jacuzzi and outdoor seating area, too. Close to Plaza. Beautiful furniture.
Just returned from a 3 day Mountain Biking Trip to Taos with 11 Adults. We were all amazed and giddy when we walked throught the door of The Geronimo House. What a wonderful treat. I must say that the description and pictures do not do the home justice. If you are planning a trip to Taos, want an excellent location and a great value for the money...this is the place you should stay. All of the rooms are beautifully funished. The outdoor patio areas are wonderful. Having two kitchens with such a large party was perfect. My friends are still praisng me for finding the perfect place for our getaway. Lance the owner was always available to answer any questions. Thank you Lance...your home is truly a gem.
Group of 12 spent 4 nights over new years there to relax and go skiing. Pros: the house is beautifully decorated, has all the amenities you need, and nice touches like plush bathrobes and locally made bath products, wifi works well, TV is large, tons of fireplaces, nice hot tub, short walk to town, etc. As with all houses in this area, it is only one story, which means that the 2 bedrooms closest to the big living room will be the loudest if some of your group wants to stay up later than others, but the bedrooms closer to the front of the house are very quiet. I would say this house is probably better for 8 people (2 in each bedroom), because any more than that will need to sleep in either the den, or the smaller living room on a pull out sofa, so it certainly won't be as comfortable for them as it is in the bedrooms. Skiing is 30 minutes away (take the short cut to the west of town instead of going to through the town to avoid lots of traffic on a 2-lane road!) and terrific. Eat at Love Apple- delicious and well-priced! The owner of this house, Lance, is extremely easy to work with and just an all around nice guy, and he was able to help answer questions during our stay as well. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would love to come back!
