Fantastic tree top and whitewater ocean views are yours for the asking. Our 2 level family home is nestled in the exclusive Santa Monica Canyon known its tranquility and fabulous flora and fauna just a short walking distance to the Pacific Ocean. Only minutes away from downtown Santa Monica with incredible, shopping, farmer's markets, theaters, restaurants, and pier. This charming house is perfect for entertaining with an open flow feeling and lots of natural light and a cool ocean breeze that keeps the temperature comfortable all year long. There are five Redwood trees on the property and an enormous deck that is furnished with tables and chairs for outdoor dining as well as lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun.

Each room has French doors opening out to either the garden or deck with canyon and ocean views. About 5 houses away in either direction are hidden steps leading down towards the beach (a 5 minute walk) and wonderful local restaurants.

The other set leads up one more level towards Rustic Canyon Park which boasts a shaded playground, tennis courts, basketball, baseball and a local pool.

This cook's kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and a Sub Zero refrigerator. There is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer plus gas burning fireplaces in both the master and living room.

This is a very child friendly home with a tree house in the garden. Utilities, Satellite TVs with DVRs and prime movie channels, stereo, phone service, WiFi, gas BBQ and garage parking.

Beautiful house and gardens, with great privacy and a nice view. The house and outdoor spaces are very well appointed, beautifully decorated and yet so comfortable and inviting. The kitchen has anything you would normally need, the linens are excellent and the entire place was scrupulously clean. The best part for me was the wonderfully comfortable bed in the master bedroom. It's often difficult to sleep when away from home, but the master suite was a quiet comfortable refuge and the bed was fantastic.

We would definitely stay again.

Our family of 6 plus dog enjoyed a happy and relaxing 3-week stay in this idyllic Los Angeles location. True to the owner's description this is a very comfortable and family-friendly home in a beautiful and peaceful residential neighborhood. We took advantage of the home's proximity to the beach and terrific neighborhood parks, excellent shopping and restaurants in Santa Monica, Brentwood, and the Palisades. Our children appreciated the games and toys left for their use and the owner and house manager were very pleasant to deal with. This was our first VRBO experience and it met our expectations, thank you!

A terrific place to stay!

I just spent a week in this home, my first vacation using this type of service. And it was an absolute pleasure.
I was traveling with my wife, our young son, and my parents, and we all stayed comfortably in the house.
The home itself is a warm, comfortable place to stay, with a spectacular ocean view, large master bedroom and a homey, inviting style. Everything described by the owner was exactly as promised.
The location, while quiet and peaceful, was very close to everything we wanted and needed. The beach, shopping, and major roads and highways were only a few minutes' drive. Our first trip to LA, we took in (and highly recommend) the Getty Museum, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Boulevard, Venice Beach and so much more.
This is a perfect home-away-from-home for any family traveling to Santa Monica, and the owner was very accommodating and easy to deal with.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely and comfortable home! Every day we had breakfast on your peaceful, sunny deck overlooking the ocean! We enjoyed our walks to the beach and the bike rides along the water. We loved walking to the beautiful Rustic Canyon Park where we played tennis. In the evenings we strolled Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica and had dinner while people watching. The restaurant and bar "The Hungry Cat", a few walking minutes from your house was our favorite! We will be back for more good vibes!
