As a child I grew up in the Niagara Region and lived here through graduation from university in 1985. I spent 23 years in California. Now back home we are pursuing one of our passions of owning and operating vacation rentals in the Niagara Falls area. I know the area well and can provide all forms of information on local restaurants, tourism, places and things to go and see. I'm a huge Sabres and Bills fan and hockey fan and a citizen of both US and Canada. I have spent a lot of time across the border in Canada and I know Canada as well as the US side and can provide any tourism info you may need for visiting. Canada is less than a 10 minute walk from our doors to the border crossing.

GRAND NIAGARA FALLS HOUSE IN JANUARY.

  • 5 of 5
We arrived in early January to very cold weather (6 degrees F the first morning). The owner met us at the house late at night (our flights had been delayed due to a bad winter storm) and he had everything in the house perfectly prepared for us. We rented the entire house and were intrigued and amazed by the condition and beauty of this 101 year old arts and craft, historic home (fascinating history). My communication with the owner was always easy, swift, and clear. He made the rental process simple and reassuring. We were in Niagara Falls to attend a wedding (yes, in early January; thank you dear niece for the very frosty timing), and the house served us very well. In addition to the many room accommodations for our extended family, we also had some wedding food to prepare. The extensive kitchen implements were perfect for our cooking party. Many good conversations and songs ensued during the food preparation time (Aren't some of the best conversations for friends and family held in kitchens?). Our favorate house feature: the front living room with the great propane fireplace. (FYI, I lost at Scrabble, but the living room was still warming and friendly, so no excuse there.) Overall, we hearty recommend this wonderful old house for a weekend visit.

Owner's Response: Kerry, Thank you for your kind words about the house and ourselves. High marks to you and your team for making it to Niagara Falls from area's around the country in the midst of a country wide winter storm. Airplanes and all! I'm glad you enjoyed the living room and the fireplace. It's simply a standard natural gas fireplace and not propane but provides an awesome atmosphere on those cold Niagara days and nights. Come see us again, perhaps in summer when it's warm and green instead of cold and white.

The Niagara Winer's
  • 5 of 5
12 of us traveled from Ohio to stay at the house and take the Niagara Holiday Wine Trail. The house is an excellent place for a large group to stay. We loved the atmosphere. The dining table was a great place for us to be able to eat and socialize. We hope to someday come back again.

  • 5 of 5
We rented the house for family gathering attending a wedding. Family was from multiple areas. Everyone had their privacy, all said they they slept great. Common areas were wonderful for getting together and very comfortable. The house has all the amenities and was close to all the sites. I highly recommend this property for your visit to Niagara Falls. Mark was great and informative about the area and the history of the house.

Owner's Response: Janet, I'm glad you all had a great stay and the house was comfortable for you. Everyone having their own room and their own bath in our 7 bedroom, 6 full bath house makes it nice for everyone to have some privacy even for those big family gatherings. Being 8 tenths of a mile from the Falls makes it nice to park and walk each day and the Fall sis something everyone needs to experience. You were all very gracious and pleasant guests and we hope you come stay with us again sometime soon.

JUST WHAT WE WANTED

  • 5 of 5
We are an extended family who travelled to Niagara Falls for our son's wedding in the Buffalo area. We came from Ireland, England and Australia.
This large house was the ideal location to base our family for the week of the wedding. The house is spacious, as are the grounds. The host Mark is welcoming and accomodating.
The wonder that is Niagara Falls is just a walk away. This area is a great place to spend a holiday and this fine house is a great base from which to explore this lovely part of the USA.
We would highly recommend this very interesting house to anyone looking for a base for holidays in the Niagara Falls area. James B

Owner's Response: Jim, Thanks so much for your kind words. It was wonderful having you and your entire clan in the house for the week. You all brought so much energy and joy into the house it was great karma for the house. I loved seeing the Irish flag flying proudly across our front porch during your stay. You were all such wonderful guests and it was apparent that the wedding and the subsequent celebration went off without a hitch.

We'd love to have you back!

Sincerely,
Mark Savoy

FAMILY VACATION

  • 5 of 5
Park Place is a beautiful historic house. We had a range of guest from 2 to 66. We loved the porch where we enjoyed special time with all family members. It was great to have so many rooms and bathrooms. At Park Place no car is needed. We could walk any place we wanted. We went to the American side of the falls and the Canandian side. The large dining room gave us an opportunity to start the day off together for breakfast and end the day for dinner together. We were able to reflect the days events at night on the large porch. I would recomend Park Place for anyone looking to stay in Niagara Falls. Mark was wonderful through the whole process (from reservations to information of the area in Niagara falls.

FAMILY WEDDING

  • 5 of 5
The house was perfect for our stay. We were able to have our privacy in our own rooms and could all be together at meal time with the huge dining room and table. The house was equipped for our every need. We especially enjoyed the beautiful front porch where we began and ended our days together.
Great proximity to the falls - both American and Canadian side. Also a beautiful casino very near. We had a great time!
