Photos and Description of the Weirs Beach vacation cottage rental
3 bedroom, 1 full bath, sleeps 5

This cottage is within walking distance to many attractions at 'The Weirs'. We have a new 30' dock to tie up to if you have a boat or decide to rent one. There is a patio down next to the water that has a 3 person swing, hammock, gas grill, tables and chairs, and a Tiki Hut with a small refrigerator. Five stairs and you're in the water. You could spend the entire day relaxing right here. We have two one-person kayaks and a 15' canoe.

Within a short walking distance to the Boardwalk, you will find arcades galore, mini-golf, restaurants, water slides, go-carts, batting cages, and The Hobo Train station for a ride to downtown Laconia or downtown Meredith, each with its many shops and restaurants. The Mt. Washington boat also docks at the Boardwalk and offers themed rides and sunset cruises. There are numerous restaurants in the area as well as Funspot Family Center, named 'World's Largest Arcade' by Guinness World Records in 2008. Take the kids on a two minute drive to the Weirs Drive-in, spread out a blanket next to you car and watch the latest movies.

The Mt. Washington Scenic boat is docked alongside the Hobo Scenic Train station right at the 'Weirs'. Take a scenic ride around Lake Winnipesaukee, or hop the train to either Meredith with its many shops and restaurants or to the center of Laconia. Mini golf, arcades, bars, restaurants and shopping are also within walking distance. The Weirs Drive-in is a great place to take the kids. When's the last time you spread out a blanket next to your car and watched a movie on an outdoor screen? This will be our fourth year at "the cottage" and we could not be happier. George and Gena do a fantastic job of welcoming you and the key drop off and pick up could not be easier, no long rides to a rental agency. The view from the master bedroom picture window is fantastic! The rest of the cottage is well laid out and in great shape. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to cook dinner for the whole family. There are several good restaurants and pubs within walking distance if you don't want to cook. The dock is great for our 22' boat and the K yacks, floats, and other accessories are a real hit with our kids. The neighborhood is quite and friendly. The location is good for day trips and close to many indoor activities in case it rains during your vacation. I highly recommend this property and we hope to come back for years to come!

Wonderful week on the lake

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this location. House was sunny and clean with comfortable beds. The sunrise from the master bedroom was breath taking. We enjoy most of the time on the lake but we were close to so many other options. You could walk to the beach, boardwalk or drive a short distance to go carts, miniature golf, bowling and zip lining. I would recommend this cottage and would stay again.

Relaxing and comfortable

Our stay at Lake Winnipesaukee was very relaxing and comfortable. The lake is beautiful and the house had everything we needed. We awoke to wonderful sunrises and cups of coffee with our feet dangling in the lake. The kids enjoyed the kayaks, swimming in the lake and hanging out in the large hammock. The patio on the lake was were we spent most of our time and was perfect for evening board games around the fire. We would definitely recommend this location for a great family vacation.
