We loved our time at this beautiful and very comfortable home. The owner was easy to contact and answered all of our questions. The entire process was easy and went without a hitch (reserving the property, check in, instructions at the home, checking out, etc)
Our group consisted of 3 couples and one toddler and everyone loved the accommodations. One of our group is a professional chef and she truly enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and was happy with all of the utensils on hand.
The home was in excellent condition and anything we had questions about (use of hot tub or fireplaces) was included in the info packet about the home that was left out for us along with garage door opener and house keys.
It was very easy for us to get to the center of town, to the town's hot springs and to good fly fishing areas for the fisherman in our group.
The only disappointment (which has NOTHING to do with the house) was that the Strawberry Park Hot Springs weren't easily accessible due to it being "mud season" which was completely our own fault for not checking ahead of time.
Other than that oversisight on our part, we had an amazing time and loved every minute we spent in this very special home!

PS: there is one steep staircase upon entering the home which would be difficult for someone with physical limitations or possibly for young children. There is a picture of the staircase included with the info on the home so it shouldn't come as a surprise to someone considering this property. We had a 2 1/2 year old in our group and we did have to remind him not to play near the stairs, but other than that everything was fine. He's also a VERY well behaved toddler who follows directions, probably better than your average toddler. :).

Beautiful Timber Frame Home!!!

This house is by far the cleanest rental home I have ever vacationed in (and I am a clean freak). Even the inside of the refrigerator was immaculate! My family and I felt very comfortable in the house. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook all of your meals and the house has tons of storage! Our favorite features were the amazing sound system throughout the entire house, the fireplace, the hot tub, the architecture, and the amazing views out of all the huge windows. It was definitely hard to leave. Nelson was very helpful and answered any questions we had about the surrounding area. My husband and I traveled with our two daughters (ages 7 and 9) and enjoyed snowshoeing, snow tubing (at Saddleback Ranch), Strawberry Hot Springs, and horseback riding (at Del's Triangle 3 Ranch) all within close proximity to the house. We also enjoyed a day of just walking around downtown Steamboat Springs, which has tons of shops, restaurants, and thrift stores. If we are ever back in Steamboat Springs, we would definitely stay at this house again. The house is more amazing in person, better than the pictures! The layout is perfect too for a family with children because the master suite is on a separate end of the house.

Great mountain home near ski area

The lovely photos of this home only hint at the wonderful experience of staying here. This majestic home is located in a quiet neighborhood which is easily accessible to the ski area. Our family loves to ski, but our kids were divided about which was more fun: skiing or spending the evenings in front of the fire playing games. The owners have thought of everything, from heated floors to a fully equiped kitchen. We highly recommend this home and definitely plan to return.

Fantastic home!

This house has it all! Beautifully furnished and provisioned with everything you will need.
Seven of us had a terrific long weekend.
The ski area bus stops just a block away so you really could get by without a car.
Nelson was a great host, always willing to provide good suggestions and answer our questions.
Would definitely rent this property again!

Exactly as advertised and better - new, spacious & modern timber frame home close to ski area. The house easily accomodated 4 adults and 2 children. Beautiful construction & layout with high ceilings and amazing views, gourmet kitchen with all amenities, comfortable family room with double-sided fireplace, large comfortable bedrooms, great bathrooms, home surround sound entertainment system (with well documented instructions for those not technically savvy), excellent private hot tub right off outdoor patio area, outside grill right off the kitchen that fired up with one click. Home was right next to great hiking with views of entire valley, and was literally a 4-5 minute drive to the gondola. There was also a shuttle a block up but we never used it. We had planned on eating out every night in Steamboat but found ourselves cooking/ordering in more because this house was so spacious, clean and comfortable. Will definitely be return customers if still available.
