We loved San Gimingnano. This property is centrally located and if you have a car they will allow you to drive to and from the property to drop off and pick up luggage (big plus). Free parking is available but it is a bit of a walk (so is the pay parking). We stayed in the two bedroom two bath unit. It had a small kitchen and a table and chairs but no other sitting area in the unit. There are several units in the same listing, so you may want to clarify which unit you are renting if you have a preference.
We loved this beautiful, historic suite in San Gimingnano. Situated on a relatively quiet street just a few moments’ walk a few blocks from the busy city centre, we found the location to be very handy during our two night’s stay. We had windows on both sides to create a welcome cross breeze and give a beautiful view. The accommodation was very comfortable for our family of two adults and two young adults 19, 16. The kitchen was lovely and practical to work in, with some handy staples in the cupboard. Our only (slight) disappointment was that the WIFI was not working properly during the time of our stay.
We were only there for two nights and would readily go back again and spend more time in this lovely area. Host Massimo made us feel very welcome when we arrived.
This activity is located in the oldest street in San Gimignano, the ancient 'Via Francigena', which was the road linking trade route between Rome and France. On the side of this road, in 1283, was born the hospital 'Donna Nobile' which it gets its name the activity.
San Gimignano today has the ability to help you relive the medieval atmosphere in which it was born. You can enjoy all this with a simple stroll through the shops, churches and museums that have our city. In summer there are also organized many cultural events, concerts of classical music, opera, or jez as well as many other entertainment events. You can also make beautiful walks in the countryside, or by bicycle, motorbike or horse riding or just relax tasting our wine and wonderful food.
