House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

This 2 story home has floor to ceiling windows in every room. The living room has large windows with cedar-planked walls and a large stone fireplace. It has a great eat-in kitchen with sunrise and sunset veiws!

The first floor master suite is spacious and provides his/her sinks, large walk-in closet and a huge whirlpool tub. It also has a sitting room overlooking the pool and the river.

The upstairs bedrooms are large with plenty of closet space and have their own balconies. The upstairs bathroom is large with a deep clawfoot tub and a seperate shower.

If you have your own boat, bring it along, we have a 24 ft. dock.

If you have a dog, bring him/her along. We have a wonderful park for the dogs. (please inquire with owners about dogs)

There are boat rentals just minutes from the house. Or go for an airboat ride. There are plenty of restaurants to go to by car or by boat. The Homosassa State Park is 5 miles away, see the manatee up close.

We are 45 minutes from Tampa and 1 hour from Orlando. Enjoy all the activities Florida has to offer in a short ride.

About Kathy Riechers

Our names are Ron and Kathy, we're from Iowa. We have been going to Florida for years and have always loved what the state has to offer, it keeps us coming back.

Why Kathy Riechers chose Homosassa

As everybody knows, Iowa winters can be brutal. The thought of 'fun in the sun' was very appealing. Our house in Florida is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy peace and quiet and yet close enough,to be able to drive a short distance to the main attractions if we wish.

What makes this house unique

Boating is our favorite thing to do. We pack up the dog, the family and a lunch and we're gone for the day out on the Gulf.

Everything was clean, organized and very nice. Only complaint was we had no toilet paper.
My grand daughter is missing her doll's baby blanket. I emailed the owner on Sunday, 4/14 with no response.

I would highly recommend the property.

The house was beautiful, spacious, in a quiet and safe neighborhood, right on the water with views of the Homosassa River. Manatees, rays, and a variety of large fish were frequently seen right on our shoreline. If you like to fish, bring a boat or kayaks, or rent them at a nearby marina. The children absolutely loved the screened in saltwater pool. Actually, we all did. Had a great time in the water with the kids, and swam every day. There are lots of interesting restaurants and fun things to do and see locally within a few miles, without having to deal with stifling urban traffic. We would love to come right back here for another fun and relaxing vacation.

Was there for 5 weeks, a great house, well situated on the Homosassa river, lots of room great salt water pool. Owners Ron & Kathy NICE people to deal with. Looking forward to our return next year. Thanks Ron and Kathy for a great time

was an awesome place the view was great., swimming pool heater never worked,and im sure ut will be repaired., the filter timer only cycled about 3 hours a day,so some adjustmentts need to be made.,i would recomend for a large group with pets., manatee diving was great a capt at crystal river was awesome you should rent a boat and go to the monkey island just a short ride fishing is o.k. shellys seafood nearby had fresh local seafood

More a family home than a rental property!

Very comfortable home in an idyllic location.
The whole house was very clean tidy and comfortable. The pool area is great and the space in the home is fabulous. Beds are great and the whole place is comprehensively and well equipped.
A real feature is how great the owners are. They have endless patience with these foreign visitors and could not have been more helpful. We have not met but feel we have known them forever.
The views are stunning and the boat dock is great. Manatee in your front yard, what could be better?
Highly recommended.

A great local attraction just down Halls River Road is to open very soon! The SEAGRASS restaurant and bar has been totally rebuilt and is going to be FANTASTIC!
