Heartsong, a perfect family or group retreat, is our brand new Adirondack style home located in Jay, NY. Our beautiful log home sits on a hill overlooking the magnificent Jay mountain range.

Conveniently located minutes away from the many attractions and activities of the Adirondacks, including Lake Placid Village, Whiteface Mountain Olympic Ski Resort, Keene's high peak hiking, Ausable River fishing and more. Just down the road, you will find the famous 'Jay Swimming Hole' featured in Sports Illustrated Magazine as one of the top ten swimming holes in the country!

The Lodge has three separate rental units; all 3 units can be combined to accommodate larger groups. Choose from 1 to 3 bedroom accommodations. The main home features a spacious 2 bedroom 1 bathroom rental with a full gourmet kitchen, dining room and family room. Adjacent from the main home is the two-story guest home which features a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom spacious apartment with a full gourmet kitchen, dining room and family room on the upper level. A 1 bedroom 1 bathroom efficiency suite with a kitchenette is also available on the lower level. Accommodations can sleep from 2 to 14 people comfortably.

All 3 rental options include luxurious interior amenities: wireless high-speed internet, flat-screen televisions, access to a 1 car garage, and laundry room. Outdoor amenities boast a 10 acre hiking trail, fire pits, and a natural spring fed pool with waterfalls.

Heartsong is your oasis! We know you'll enjoy it as much as we do. Our Guest have said they feel like this is a 'home away from home.'

About Joanna

Hi I'm Joanna,

I was born and raised in Long Island, New york. As a child growing up my parents would bring us to the Adirondacks every chance they had to enjoy the 'country'. Over the years my father developed land in the Jay area and built houses. Heartsong was one of our family homes that was passed down to me.

Now we are the proud owners of Heartsong Retreat. Along with my husband Peter, and my children Anthony and Maria we have created the perfect vacation rental.

We invite you to stay at Heartsong and make your own wonderful memories in the Adirondacks.

Heartsong sits high on a hill and has views of the magnificent Jay range. With an east west exposure, we enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our location is perfect for the traveler who wants to enjoy the country and be minuets away from it all.

What makes this house unique

Our home is Adirondack style with hand crafted furniture and plush cozy decor. Most of the decorations are antique and have a story about them.

Winter Wonderland Christmastime visit

My family (couple and two teenage sons) are from S. FL and seek 'white Christmas' venues during our yearly school winter breaks. The Heartsong retreat's fully equipped accomodations are in nearly new (new around 2011) condition - nicely furnished/appointed. The location is within a short drive to myriad destinations one would seek in their quest of an Andirondack experience; from small town (Jay) eateries, shops, pubs, covered bridge, to nearby Lake Placid (itself a teeming lake and mountain town). We plan to return in the very popular Summer season, as our winter stay's enjoyment was beyond expectations. The owner's couldn't have been more helpful in their activity recommendations/accomodations. Lake Champlain & nearby Vermont and Montreal, CAN, are a few other excusions we plan to experience on our next Heartsong Retreat visit. As Robert Siskel would opine,"a BIG Thumbs Up" on this memorable Andirondack experience!

Perfect Family Vacation

Heartsong suited our large family of seven excellently. Though we rented the main apartment and the efficiency, we probably could have all stayed in the main unit comfortably. The decor was both elegant and cozy, and we had all the amenities needed. Joanna was easy to work with and provided good recommendations for the area. There are nice places to walk on the property itself, and it is close to many of the Adirondack attractions.
We also recommend her sister "Rosalia's" restaurant, just down the road and delicious!

Awesome winter holiday at Heartsong.

What a wonderful stay we had at Heartsong. We had 12 people in our party and rented both the main house lower level and the guest house. The rate for this 5 bedroom combo was a great value. We enjoyed being so close to Whiteface Mt. ski resort, and within 20-30 mins from just about everything. The town of Lake Placid was charming, with all the great shops. Heartsong was delightful, beautifully decorated, and immaculate. The owner, Joanna was very accommodating and helpful to suggest attractions and restaurants. We are looking forwardto our next visit.

Wonderful vacation home

Joanna thank you so much for sharing your home for our vacation. We vacation at Heartsong in Aug/2012. What a wonderful place it live up to the description and more. Everything that you need is provided by the owner from linen, everything you need for cooking. We had 11 adults a 5 month and a one year old plus 2 dogs. We rented all three units. Every unit was so well maintained and so clean. The area has so much to offer the sightseeing is beyond words. Everyday was an adventure. As far as the owner I cannot say enough about her. She was so helpful in everyway. She even look after our dogs one day. I would recommend this property for anyone who wants a wonderful vacation home to go to. I am looking forward on returning to Heartsong.
