This small, farmhouse cottage is perfect for a family with kids, or two couples. It has a King size bedroom with en suite bath/shower, attached to a small living room with kitchenette, en suite bath/shower, and double futon bed. The cottage is surrounded by big beautiful trees, rhododendrons, fruit trees, open spaces to roam. If you are a photographer, birdwatcher, romantic, you'll love it here.

Super convenient to north end ferry to Seattle, right on the bus line with express buses to Seattle or SeaTac airport. 1 mile from the quaint town of Vashon; sweet shops, dining, organic farmers market. Can bicycle to everywhere! Easy access to hiking trails and beaches.

Funky Farmhouse!

Beautiful spot on Vashon. I visited with my sisters at the end of August for a family reunion. We had a large group so people ended up staying wherever they could all over the island and I really enjoyed our "funky farm" the best of all. It took a day to get used to, just the whole casual nature of the island itself, and figuring out the layout of the cottage on the property - but then it was like a slice of 70's hippie heaven.

The owner was terrific from start to finish. And even though there were slight issues (like the BBQ had not been cleaned), I called him and he was immediately accessible and accommodating. We borrowed and rode his very nice bikes all over the island - ended up breaking the chain on one of them - and he was awesome about it - no problem.

I would definitely recommend this Bamboo Cottage! Look forward to returning again soon.

Cozy, Charming, Worth Repeating

A great get away built for relaxing in between walks in town, along the beach, through the forest and our first stroll in an actual bamboo forest, which has it's own amazing story. We loved the full functioning fire place and the European styled showers. We were happy to share the Asian Pears with the deer who showed up in the fruit trees every night. We look forward to repeating this experience, soon.

A memory never forgotten.

My husband and I had the privilege of staying at this romantic getaway.

We adored the porch outside of our bedroom where we spent many days reading, relaxing, and having a glass of wine or two. The view from our bedroom overlooked such luscious greenery: a variety of shade and flowering trees provided the perfect view and the grass, such fluffy comfort! The two baths were fantastic: each with 8-in shower heads towering right above you that gave you complete quiescence. The kitchen had a complete set of cookware and included all necessities to make meals together as a family.

Overall, my husband and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We loved our stay there and hope to be back there soon!
