Guestbook comments from the owner

We did not expect such beautiful accommodations. The cabin was updated, bright and clean. The kids loved playing out front in the snow (wished there was a little more). Lots of fun, would definitely return .

I have been staying at this cabin for a few years now and must say my family and I love it.

It is roomy ,comfortable, high end with lots of space for one or more families.

We love the basement family room, the upstairs dining area and the book in the kitchen.

The master suite has the most comfortable bed ever!

We enjoyed nightly Smoors by the fire pit and the starlit sky is amazing.

Terriffic vacation-superb location for a home base

  • 5 of 5

The cabin & property were exactly as described. Beautifully appointed, spacious and very well equipped, it was a wonderful respite from our daily sightseeing tours. We enjoyed the nightly tour of deer walking through the property. The only complaint we could come up with is that the coffee maker needed cleaning in the worst way, our first pot of coffee took 45 minutes to brew. Fortunately there was white vinegar on hand and the next pot took 12 minutes. The only reason I mention this it to make the point that in all seriousness, that is literally the only thing we could find wrong! So on a scale of one to ten, this rental was a 10! We would highly recommend it and if we ever find our way back to southern Utah, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

By the way, if you aren't sure about southern Utah, take the plunge. We were stunned by the beauty of Bryce, Zion & Capitol Reef and we were so happy we made this our vacation destination. There is no picture you can look at that will adequately portray the beauty of these national treasures.

Perfect place for family getaway.

  • 5 of 5

Our family decided to get out of the Vegas heat and spend some time in Duck Creek. With a senior father, a sister with a husband and 5 year old daughter, a brother with a wife, and myself, this place provided plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. When we needed to gather, whether it be in the kitchen, dining room, basement, or around the fire pit there was plenty of space for us to all comfortably spend time together. What was really nice was the number of bathrooms available. This came in handy when getting ready to venture out into the many places of interest in the area. The old man loved all the fishing spots that were reasonably close, niece loved all the animals that roam around the house, and after 5 days and countless gallons of gas, myself and my brother barely covered a fraction of the miles and miles of ohv trails on a dirt bike and atv. Huge plus that you can drive right up to the house on the ohv. House has everything we needed for cooking, laundry, sleeping, plenty of towels, a bbq with propane, firewood, satellite and a decent dvd collection. If you want to dine out, there is a pizza spot in the little village just minutes away that has good deep dish.

This is our 7th or 8th time renting a house as a family for an annual vacation and after having stayed all over from Seattle to Miami, I must say that this cabin takes the cake as far as comfort and amenities. Great place, great value. We look forward to returning in the future.

Great family get away

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from our get away to Duck Creek Village, UT. The weather was beautiful for July and the sourrounding area had so much to do including Zion and Bryce within an hour, and great trails for ridiing local in Duck Creek and the surrounding areas. The cabin was fantastic, plenty of room with two masters and 4 bathrooms. The downstairs was very cool temperature wise which was nice on the warmer days. The cabin is well furnished and was very comfortable for two families totalling 7 people. We would recommend this for any family type from the ones that want to sit on the porch and relax to those who want some adventure.

Perfectly perfect

  • 5 of 5

We were impressed with this cabin from the second we pulled into the driveway. We arrived December 23rd 2013 for a family Christmas getaway. We had 5 adults in our group and extremely high expectations.

This log cabin has a floorplan that allows for everyone to have a lot of privacy which was important to our family and definitely worth noting. From the minute you walk through the door you feel right at home. The country decor is warm and welcoming.

This cabin is well maintained and extremely clean. The beds were really comfortable as were the sofas. The kitchen was equipped very well. We were able to prepare a big turkey Christmas dinner with no trouble at all.

We spent Christmas eve. snowmobiling and had a blast. The views in this area are among some of the best I've ever seen. We were pleased with the amount of snow on the ground but kinda bummed it didn't snow while we were there. Even though we were hoping for snow, the weather was pretty amazing. Sunny blue skies every day... very picturesque.

We will definitely rent this cabin again and we highly recommend it for your next Duck Creek getaway. On a final note... an added bonus... the cabin owners were really easy and great to deal with. Thank you Joseph for everything. Hopefully we will be seeing you again really soon.

Perfectly Perfect

"Home Away" is exactly how this log cabin felt as soon as we walked in the door. This home is very comfortable and inviting. We were impressed from the minute we pulled into the driveway.

We decided to rent this home over Christmas for 5 adults. We were pleased with the layout of this home as it seemed to be designed for the utmost in privacy. Everything in this cabin was clean and comfortable, you couldn't ask for more.

We spent 4 days here over Christmas and everyone in our party had a fabulous time. We spent one day snowmobiling and we had a blast. The views in this area are some of the best I've ever seen. Although we were hoping for snow we didn't get that lucky. However, there was plenty of snow on the ground and weather was pretty amazing.

We were able to easily prepare meals in this kitchen including a huge turkey for Christmas dinner. Everything we needed was provided and then some.

I highly recommend this home for your next Duck Creek getaway. You will not be disappointed.

We can't wait to go back!
