This house was built in the 1840's and has been in our family since the turn of the last century. The bedroom has a new queen pillow top bed and fine linens, attached to the bedroom is a sunny dressing room. The bathroom is bright and airy with an opening window. The living room has a new sleeper sofa and comfortable seating.Built in to the book case is a flat screen tv with all the cable channels, dvd and dvr. We supply free secure wifi. The full size formal dining room has nice antique furnishings. The kitchen is quite large and has the original walk in and pass through pantry, again many antiques in this room as well. The kitchen has a comfortable day bed as well.Off the kitchen is a great screened in sun porch with many comfortable places to rest. The entire floor features new decor and paint. The yard off the porch is there to enjoy and we have a propane BBQ for your use. We provide one on site parking spot.
Only thing that could make it better would be a washer / dryer so we could stay longer! Center of town. a porch with 4 couches for friends to come over and share a dessert. The Library right next door. restaurants a block away. a HUGE parking spot easily fit our huge SUV. The charm of the kitchen can not be improved on, ever. tall ceilings, wide doors. a formal diningroom. a good size livingroom. a good size bathroom - excellent to what we needed. the changing room adjacent to the bedroom was really a huge walkin closet or could but a couple of cribs in there easily. Ideal family rental or couples. Very pleased with the owner and the caretaker although we never needed them as we had no issues - we will always want to stay here. Thanks Will & Luann!
This is truly an amazing place to stay, it is huge for two people and worked out perfectly for us. We had a dinner party for 10 the second night, cookout for about 22 another night and it worked out great. The two ac units are plenty to keep you cool, we had a very sunny, hot and humid week and just kept the place closed and it stayed very cool.
The location is great as you are only a few minutes away from everything in the center of town but you are also far enough away that you can just relax and not hear it all.
We are both so looking forward to staying here again!
The house is exceptionally comfortable, spacious, and convenient to downtown Ptown. We appreciated the air conditioning in the bedroom and living/dining room during the heat wave. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and other necessities. The owner and property manager were both extremely helpful and responsive to emails and calls. I would definitely recommend this house and we plan to return in the future.
I recently stayed here with a few friends and we had a delightful time! The accommodations (linens, towels, kitchen amenities, TV, DVD player, etc) made our time in the house feel just like home. The center of town is literally a 5 minute walk! Overall, this was the perfect combination of homey-ness and close to town! Thanks :)
I have rented this lovely home for 6 weeks and I am more than halfway into my stay and I can say how wonderful this house it for a couple or single person. There is room for more to sleep but it is in the living room with a pull out couch. This home is sooooooooo centrally located within walking distance to everything in Provincetown. Right across from the historic library and one house of Commercial. There is absolutely no noise with windows open. I am here off season so I would think it is much busier in summer. Lobster Pot 2 short blocks, Scott's Cupcakes literally on the corner, best vanilla cupcakes ever and I am a chocolate lover. I have had no car and have walked or biked everywhere. I rented a bike from Arnold's (see Alex) and he gave me a great deal for the 6 weeks. The house is totally maintained and comfortable and everything works well. Will is a fabulous landowner and his caretaker Betty is fabulous as is Peter who repairs things (not needed in my case). Betty is on top of everything. My heat went out and literally in 10 minutes the heater was being filled with oil. I am from Los Angeles and this is my first visit to Provincetown but not Cape Cod and I have truly enjoyed my stay and look forward to coming again sometime.
This charming, historic house is great for a couple looking for a close-in and comfortable stay in Provincetown. The location simply cannot be beat! Very easy (short, downhill) walk to Commercial Street and all the shops, bars and restaurants. We stayed for a week in late June, and enjoyed both cool days in the early week and summertime temperatures later. The house has window A/C units for those 90+ degree days, which we appreciated. The Wi-Fi was also great - it allowed us to get some work done, too. The owner is super friendly and easy to work with. We had no problems at all, and look forward to returning in the future.
Provincetown is located at the very tip of Cape Cod and enjoys cool breezes from the surrounding water making it much more comfortable than the main land in the summer months. The light in this area is spectacular and is one of the main reasons artists have called this home for over two hundred years. Come and see for yourself.
