The holiday apartment is the second apartment of a famous Italian artist. It is very peaceful and equipped with exclusive furniture and a plaster stone floor. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen (oven, refrigerator, basic equipment), a dining room with a built in window, a bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds (also usable as a studio). The rooms are very well lit, peaceful and have a friendly atmosphere in order to be able to enjoy a view of the bell tower of Giotto and the St. Maria Novella church. The apartment is located directly by the train station and near the Fortezza da Basso, the main stage for markets and art in Florence. The general market and the typical St. Lorenz market are only a few hundred metres away. The holiday apartment, newly renovated in 2003, is located on the 2nd floor and is 68 sq. m. large. For your arrival: follow the train station S.M.N. The holiday apartment is located directly across the train station, to the left is Lake Alinari and nearby is the Alinari museum. A garage is located near the holiday apartment, even though it is more comfortable to arrive without a car. All public transport facilities stop in the holiday apartment street and are easy to reach. As a mode of transportation, there is a train and tourist buses that ride into the inner city and also to other cities. The stops are only 100 meters from the house.

Surrounding area: The holiday apartment is located in an old city district with many small shops, the grocery store and the typical San Lorenzo market and different book shops. In 100 meters you will find the Via Tornabuoni with elegant, international companies. Also, the cathedral and the Uffi are not far away. For dinner, I recommend: 'Via cennini', 100 m from the house. Unforgettable and fair in price. For an excellent lunch and a Ricco elegant, I recommend in the middle of the city (street Portarossa 63r.), self service starting at € 9.

Means of transportation: You can leave your car at the house and visit the city on foot or by bike, there is a bike rental service located nearby, the main train station is nearby.

Excursions to Sienna, Pisa, San Gimignano...: In a half day you can discover Tuscany by train. Starting from our house, buses leave every half hour to Sienna, Gimignano, Pisa, Volterra, Fiesole, Rome and to Italy.

Ski: After a one hour drive you can get to the Tuscan Appenin.

Golf: In a few minutes you can reach the 3 golf courses in Florence.

Other Activities: In the City: EVERYTHING: horseback riding, canoeing

Idealer Ausgangspunkt um Florenz kennenzulernen

Als Ehepaar 50 + haben wir das freundliche Apartment sehr genossen. Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem allergikerfreundlichen Apartment und haben es auch gefunden. Die zentrale Lage, nahe am Bahnhof und nahe am Zentrum, war ideal um Florenz zu Fuß kennenzulernen. Ein Tipp: wir sind mit dem City Night line Zug angereist - super für einen Kurzurlaub! Alle Absprachen mit dem Vermieter haben sehr gut geklappt und waren sehr unkompliziert. Das Apartment ist sehr zu empfehlen, allerdings ist ein bißchen Kondition erforderlich, da es im 2. Stock liegt.

Top-Wohnung im Herzen von Florenz

Wir waren mit insg. 4 Frauen in der Wohnung, die unsere Erwartungen bei weitem übertraf. Sie ist mit sehr schönen alten Möbeln und modernen Ikea-Möbeln eingerichtet, viele von der Künstlerin selbst gemalte Bilder hingen an den Wänden. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Trotz der absolut zentralen Lage am Bahnhof und am Zob war sie sehr ruhig und man hörte keinen Verkehrslärm.
Sehenswürdigkeiten und Märkte (Dom, Kathedrale Nouvella, Markthallen, Ledermarkt u.a.) konnte man in wenigen Geh-Minuten erreichen. Die Betreuung durch die Vermieterin klappte gut. Die Wohnung würden wir jederzeit weiterempfehlen, allerdings nicht für Gehbehinderte, da sie im 2. Stock liegt und kein Fahrstuhl vorhanden ist.
