Light, clean, blue, white - open the front door to a spectacular beach. The deck is private - a vista on the world to be celebrated with morning coffee, an evening cocktail - shared with birds, butterflies, deer, sun, moon, stars and a loved one. An easy walk or bike into town to enjoy a Saturday farmer's market, fresh vegtables from the stand on Library Avenue, 'nights catch' at CorJays or crunch Zabar's breads. Trips to neighboring Hamptons, vinyards, Montalk, Sag Harbor with ferries to Shelter Island and beyond to the North Fork. For those who can not make a clean break, a huge outlet village is situated in Riverhead - 15 minutes away - sporting Saks, Brooks, Lauren, William Sonoma etc. Westhampton Beach is under 80 miles from Manhattan and is serviced by three major highways as well as trains from Penn Station and Hampton Jitney with multiple convenient pickup sites in the city.
Apartment #18 is on the top floor - two flights above designated parking spaces. The laundry, utility room, and manager's office are on ground level. Two boardwalks extend from the first floor to the beach, a distance of about 300 ft. Upon entering, the master bedroom with full bath is to the left, with another full bath a bit beyond. To the right of the hall is the guest bedroom, with a king sized bed (that can be separated into two twin beds),, and the kitchen that supports a washer/dryer, fridge/icemaker, dishwasher, sink, oven, stove and spaceous breakfast counter with microwave. Here, the hallway opens to a large living/dining room containing white wicker chairs with ottomans, a white leather sofa, TV/DVD, diningroom table/chairs and an entire wall of windows to the south - curtained as desired. Sliding glass doors open to a private deck with chaises, tables, chairs and umbrella. The undulating, restricted 300 ft dune lies 10 feet below the deck and extends to a 150ft wide/miles long beach, then to water's edge.

Professional couple transplanted from NYC to Seattle with our two young sons. Still miss this wonderful city and our place in the sun - we visit friends & family frequently.
This was our family's 'Escape from New York'. After nights on call at the hospital, I could drive to the beach, hug the children, sleep on the sand and return to the city refreshed - almost!
A quiet oasis, with remarkable views of sand, ocean, rising/setting sun, and moonscape paths to infinity. The crash and smell of briney ocean waves tame the heart of lions and comfort the soul.
