A Special Place

For me, it was a special visit, in a special house, in a special location. Outdoor activities are but a short walk or drive away: excellent biking and walking trails; hiking trails of many levels of difficulty, with the reward of spectacular views from the mountain summits; swimming in the lakes and ponds (and of course the ocean, for those of hardier stock); and golf and tennis for the sports minded. The shops and restaurants of Southwest Harbor are just minutes away, as are excursions by boat to offshore islands. The house itself is an architectural gem. It nestles into its surroundings, and its entrance belies its large size. The house is spacious and comfortable, with room to spread out and relax after a day of outdoor activity, or to just hang out by the fireplace during one of those occasional rainy days. From the entrance hall, the common living space is up, to leverage the views, the sun, and the stars, and the bedrooms are either off in their own separate wings or down a level, to maximize privacy and quietness. I highly recommend this property.
