Amazing getaway

We stayed at this suite and would recommend it to anyone wanting the perfect combination of luxury, family friendliness, and quiet relaxation. We had three adults and three children under five which could not be done as easily at any other place.
This suite is so large that it was possible for children to nap upstairs while others played downstairs and the adults could move about comfortably between the enormous screened porch and the living areas.
We brought food and drink and made use of the full size kitchen but also enjoyed the on site dining. The dining table in our room was large enough for all of us to eat together.
Although it rained the majority of our stay, we didn't notice as the children spent their time swimming in the pool and playing both in the game room and the suite.
The suite is so large, comfortable, and immaculate, it makes it difficult to want to vacation anywhere else.
We stayed at the lodge twice during the winter and once in the summer. Both are amazing, although the atmosphere in the winter time is my favorite. There is so much to do that the problem we run into is not wanting to leave the resort to visit downtown Lake Placid, hike, or go skiiing.
I found staying here to be as enjoyable each time we came. The first time with no children, the second time with a four month old baby, and the last time with a fourteen month old. While you can enjoy the quiet that comes from a resort this large, you can be just as comfortable here with a group of kids.
Staying in this suite allowed a wonderful break from needing to pack up and go back and forth in the car for all of the activities typical of a fun vacation! We barely even noticed it was raining. There is really nothing like it.
