Beautiful sunsets,orcas, eagles, and a beautiful beach where one can explore inter-tidal life, sunbathe, swim, beach comb, launch your kayak or canoe or just relax and enjoy the view.

Our cottages are all found and are often described as small homes by city dwellers.

Views from the cottages include the Salish Sea, Mount Baker, the lights of the mainland. One can see the ferry traffic off in the distance and at night the lights of the 3 ski resorts on the North Shore sparkle in the distance.

Relax on one of the two decks with your favourite libation or take a short walk to the beach and sit on the deck above the sand and pebble beach. Watch the sun go down in a glorious blaze of beautiful colours of the rainbow. You will see otters, great blue herons, seals, and a host of sea life.

About The Owner

My family has lived on Saturna since 1944. I came to live on the island in 1970, taught and administered the local school for 20 years. My children were raised here and have returned to make their lives here after being educated and travelling abroad. They are now raising their children here. Four generations of the family on Saturna. Wow!

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2000
Why The Owner chose Saturna Island

My husband and I chose to build two cottages on our 30 acre property to afford the opportunity for others to share in the unique beauty of the property.

What makes this cottage unique

Our 2 cottages are situated on the western end of the property, amid tall trees and above a bank which affords fantastic views. Above all, you have privacy in your cottage as you cannot see one cottage from another.

Each cottage has 2 well-appointed bedrooms, each master with a king-sized bed. The living areas are cozy and offer airtight stoves for warmth and ambience on a cool evening.

The kitchen/dining area is large with full sized appliances, all the comforts of home. Washers and dryers are situated in the small utility room.

A phone in each cottage allows you to access outside contact with the use of your client card.

Washer & dryer located in each cabin. Just a short walk away there is a beach viewing deck with patio furniture and bbq available for guest use.

One of the nicest cottages we've ever stayed at, anywhere. While you may not get the afternoon sun, a blessing in the heat of summer, you can go to the nearby beach to catch some rays, jump in for a swim or launch a kayak. The cottage we stayed in is very well looked after and very clean with a full kitchen.  The view from the cottage overlooks the water and the atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

We have been vacationers at Sunset Beach for the last four years. Each year we wish we could stay longer. Our cottage is modern, spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with big picture windows placed to provide a beautiful view of Georgia Strait and the shore below. The ownerss have a huge expanse of private beach for the guests to explore and enjoy. Nature reigns here and there is a definite feeling of wildness to the environment. It is quiet and serene and has the most marvellous of Pacific coast sunsets. It offers the best of holidays.

Sunset Beach is the perfect getaway for those seeking a beautiful, quiet setting but with all the amenities. The setting is spectacular - you are perched high above the ocean among tall trees. The view is beautiful and the deserted beach is just a short walk a few minutes below. When the tide goes out you can wander along the beach and examine the beautiuful rock formations and gaze out to sea. The property itself is fully equipped and furnished so you don't need to bring anything except yourselves, your clothes, and some food! A short drive away is East Point, truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Saturna is a gem. Highly recommended.

John and I have stayed at Sunset Beach cottages several times over the past five years. We've come with friends, brought family members, or just gone by ourselves. We love Saturna Island and the cottages are great place. We highly recommend them for a quiet get-a-away.

My family and I come up every summer to enjoy the tranquility and the beauty of Saturna.

We love to stay at the cabin. It is well equipped, has beautiful views and is close to the
beach. I highly recommend coming and staying at Sunset Beach.
