Nice layout, not what we were expecting
Submitted: June 1, 2012
Stayed: April 2012
Pros: sun-filled living room with beautiful sunsets, calm/warm water, great balcony w ceiling fan, plenty of room for 2, snorkeling equipment was in good shape
Cons: lots of people on the beach and up late at night under our window, ANTS in the apartment that required constant vigilance, no door knob on the front door made it very difficult to open due to swelling, many utensils but only 1 six-inch pan for cooking (no pots, no pans, literally that's all), sofas were not comfortable to lounge/read on because the sections easily separated, beach was closed off on both sides (no beach walking possible), a few restaurants but no real town. Snorkeling ok for absolute beginners but nothing to write home about.
If all you want to do is drink cocktails and lie in the sun, this is a nice place, though we did have some issues with noise at night. If you like to get the feel of a town, have a more secluded beach with more space, partake in water activities like surfing/kayaking/boogie boarding this is not the place for you. Facilities were decent but you can find better.

Owner's Response: Reviews are always good to improve any service given to our rental-guest. As per you stated on check out you were more than happy with the stay, express good comments & wanting to return.I want to clear some cons on your review 1. Ants:First complain we have about this matter, if you would had called us immediately we would have sent an exterminator to fix the situation. As per the housekeeper have advise after your check out, there where ants because residuals of food were left all over the kitchen, 2. People on the Beach: unfortunely we have no control over this, in Puerto Rico beaches are not private, but yet public. You could have done 3 things,a. Close the window & turn on the air condition, b. call us for us to call the police for disturbance of public in your behave,or c. called the police which we have a phone number inside the wood key box at the entrance of the apt, 3.Door Knob: On April we did some renovations and change the knob,4. Pans and Pots: there are 3 pans and 2 pots, beside the rest of utensils for cooking, if you had called, immediately we would had satisfied your needs, 4. Sofas: As sectional off course if the person do not make correct use of it they will separate, 5.Beach was closed off on both sides(no beach walking possible): not true, once you open the gate if you decide to make a right you can be walking on the sand at least 2 hours and you would not finish the complete sand side with clear and crystal waters, if you decide to turn left once you reach the palm & condos you keep walking on the water of 1 feet depth and you can walk at least 15 minutes or enjoy of some clear and not deep water and wild life,6. Few restaurant no real town: Probably you did not read the description of the condo on our page, off course Joyuda Road is not a town it is a road that leads you to Boqueron, La Parguera, to the town of Mayaguez & the town of Cabo Rojo, 7. Snorkeling: maybe you did it at the shore which is good for beginners, because kayack and sknorkeling are my favourite and when I snork I go at least 20 to 30 feet far from the shore and what you can observe is just amazing, some of our rental-guest have sent us great pic of there experience, even this week there was a Manati near the shore,8. Water activities: most of the owners of the condo have boats, kayack, boogie boards, water mobile, & even public bring them and have great fun, so it is not correct that it is a close beach and no water activities can be done.
