We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. The listing was accurate regarding the location of the property. It is convenient to public transportation and also allows for some wonderful walks in Berkeley. The listing also accurately reflected the appearance and amenities of the property, and we enjoed the well- maintained and spotless appearance of the property. We found the owners to be very helpful in directing us to local activities and restaurants that we might enjoy. They provided guides to local attractions and restaurants, and a book detailing specifc walks that wind through the city. We recommend visiting the Cheese Board Pizza restaurant which has a good selection of foods and jazz at noon, Philz Coffee, and the original Peet's Coffee in Berkeley. We also enjoyed visiting the Rose Gardent in Berkeley, and Tilden Park. We would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives.
Our stay at the Treehouse Cottage was amazing! Susan and Jim were 5 star...so friendly, so attentive and very helpful. Staying here was better than staying in a 5 star hotel. Close to so much, a nice walk or a quick, cheap über ride away! We will most certainly be staying here again whenever we are in the area next.
Thank you so much Susan & Jim!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It's a tranquil environment and the backyard garden and koi pond are delightful. The cottage is lovely and offered everything I needed during my 2 week stay here. Susan and Jim are lovely hosts and very accommodating to your needs. Extremely clean upon arrival and the bed upstairs is very comfy. At night you can open the skylights over the bed and let the Bay Area breeze waft in. Heavenly. I would definitely stay here again, as well recommend to friends and family. Thank you Susan and Jim!!!!
Very nice cottage.
Super nice owners.
We have enjoyed our stay here twice now.
Peaceful, convenient, reasonably priced. Friendly owners, accomadating. Property has basic essentials for everyday use, convenient on street parking, easy property access. Bathroom is small with poor lighting. More current public transportation information available on site is needed. Our recommendations to improve property would also include
1. Different type of towels for full body use. Current towels are very thick
2. Portable cooler for guests to use on their day trips
3. A current channel guide for local cable service
4. Inexpensive supply of movies to watch on DVD player
5. 2 basic inexpensive bikes to use while visiting
6. Upon arrival, an inviting gesture would be fresh fruit and cold bottled water in refrigerator. We purchased ice cube trays to use during our stay.
It is an excellent value and we would definitely stay again
We enjoyed a lovely 3 days at the cottage. Clean, and comfortable with everything we needed. The ambiance outside is just beautiful. The owner was out of town, but made sure to check in to see if anything was needed and greeted us upon her return. As indicated in prior reviews, stairs are a bit of an issue to navigate but not a deterrent overall. We loved it, and would definitely return.
