Santa Barbara is located on the Central coast of California. Lake Cachuma and Lake Casitas are both an easy drive from downtown Santa Barbara.

It's an easy drive to 'wine country' in the Santa Ynez valley - vineyards and wineries where you can enjoy wine tastings, including the Fess Parker Winery, where you can enjoy Shakespeare on the lawn in the summer. Musicians perform before the play and during intermission. It's a wonderful event for families, who bring their children, food, and blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the evening's performance. Some performances are contemporized; others, are performed in the styles of Shakespearean theater.
