A gold-medal property, with sunrises to remember for a lifetime. Turtle Cove Beach House offers private, direct beach access with your own staircase straight from the deck. A short walk or a moment’s drive to the charming surfer town of Vilano, this beach house is in a quiet neighborhood and has everything going for it.

Better than ever after a recent remodel, Turtle Cove is an 8-person beach house that suits all sorts of groups. Kids will love the beach frontage, but an adult group will find that it’s perfectly spacious even if your spend your vacation relaxing indoors. If coming in the summer, you could easily spend every minute on your backyard beach and the deck. In the winter, a fireplace makes it a cozy retreat as you enjoy ocean views from the comfy sectional.

At Turtle Cove, everyone gets their own bedroom! Two master bedrooms have king beds, and two bedrooms have queens but – shh – only one of these rooms has direct deck access. The bedrooms are divided amongst the home’s two floors, two upstairs and two down, so you have lots of privacy and an added sense of space. In addition to comfy beds, all bedrooms have generous floor space (bring your yoga mat!), and great storage really suited for a beach vacation. Large windows front and back provide incredible natural light from dawn to dusk.

As for living space, it all centers on the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. An absolutely enormous leather sectional faces the deck and, beyond that, the Atlantic Ocean. The décor is clean and comfortable but never fussy; nothing competes with those ocean views. If not the couch, then activity will circle around the large kitchen island with stools conveniently next to the fridge and wine rack. Soft pendant lighting turns up the charm just as the sun goes down and you consider your dinner plans. Once it’s dark your focus might shift to either the screened fireplace, or the new, flatscreen HDTV is available, as is free Wi-Fi if you prefer to use your laptop.

Turtle Cove will feel like your own home right away, when you pull into the large driveway and race around to the deck and backyard. Nothing is more exciting on arrival than realizing just how sweet this location really is – can you keep it a secret until then? Fall in love with a property that will be perfect to return to for every summer vacation, as well as the quiet beauty of the cooler winter months and holiday period.

Of course, the one downside of beach-front living is keeping track of your towels. If three swims a day sounds about right, you’ll really appreciate the full-size laundry plus handy shelves for keeping everything in its place.

Very likely, you’ll spend all the time you have sitting on the deck, contemplating your tan. You might consider bringing binoculars to watch for dolphins or, at certain times of year, migrating right whales. Sea turtles and a great variety of birdlife call the area home as well.

Vilano Beach is a fantastic little community, with a real love for life on the water (whether on the ocean itself or the adjacent intracoastal waterway). Unpack and unwind into Vilano life as you get to know the area with a little more beach exploration each day.
My name is Steve Milo and I stay in Vacation Rental Homes when I travel both domestically and abroad. I own several vacation rental homes and listen carefully to our guests and their feedback and then opened my company Vacation Rental Pros in 2006! Our greatest compliment is when our guests refer our web site to their friends and relatives. AND, now Vacation Rental Pros is managing over 825 properties in Ft Myers Beach, Orlando, St Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast and Ponte Vedra Beach. Our guests and their great 'word of mouth' have helped us expand to over 825+ vacation rentals. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2014.
Wonderful vacation with great location and property. The experience was let down by the hidden costs only discovered when booking. We spent many hours looking at properties to rent, finally setting our hearts on this one. When we called to book the cost went up by over $500. None of these extras where visible to us on the web page.
kitchen pretty sparse, had to buy several things we'd normally expect in a rental, no cutting board, poor quality cookware, little slow on request for repairs but ok, had to request junk to be removed from property, at least 7 broken/rusty beach chairs scattered around, broken umbrella and plastic table, not a good impression, also not what we'd normally expect, suggest you include that in your routine prep
We so enjoyed the week we spent here in October 2011. The only complaint we had was that someone needed to cut the seagrass away from the steps going to the beach. Too easy to get your feet caught and fall. Otherwise; we had no complaints. The condo was extremely clean and a wonderful place to spend a week away. We took our 3 dogs and they also had a fabulous time.
There were a couple of maintenance problems Air was broken but they were able to fix it for the Days we were there. Then we had to call concerning the garage door it would not stay down. Maintenance came and out it back on track Please add a blender
Our vacation was great and so was the condo. A few things you might want to pass on to the owners for minor repair.
1. Both remotes for the TV/cable box are not working 100%. The switch at the top to toggle from TV, AV1, AV2 don't seem to work. We could not find any remotes for the DVD player.
2. The garage door closest to the condo entrance needs to have the limits adjusted. We had to open/close the door several times before it would remain shut.
3. One of the sprinkler heads which watered the AC broke. We noticed it after seeing the puddles of water in front of the condo and don't know how long it ran before we shut it off. This will probably add to the water bill. I did shut of the sprinkler system.
Further, we could not get the north door to the garage to close and after several attmepts called the property management. They guided us through the fuse box investigation and this was all during the first 30 minutes of our arrival. also the old vertical blinds in the bedrooms did not work, multiple bulbs burnt out at the property and as promised in the contract, there was no bar soap, dishwashing detergent for 1 load or enough laundry detergent to complete the 2 required loads per the contract. We were disappointed that the porch light was never replaced with a working bulb during our stay.
