A family of four from San Diego, CA. Telluride is our favorite place in the world and we go as often as we can. Winter, spring, summer or fall are all unique and offer different types of beauty. Our two children love to ski here, hike, ride horses, snow mobile and even fish in the town park or in Mountain Village pond. Come and see why Telluride is our favorite place to visit!
Jeff Bolitho purchased this condo in 2009
Telluride is the most stunning mountain town in the US. Soutwestern Colorado is home to the most amazing mountains and views in the country. Telluride sits in a box canyon with 14,000 foot mountains towering above on each side. The beautiful Bridal Veil Falls sits at the end of the canyon and rages from above in the spring and summer. The skiing is world class with the new Revelation Lift and Prospect Bowl challenging the best skiers in the world. But it is also a tremendous place to bring the family! Old Western charm of downtown meets European Village in Telluride. See where Butch Cassidy robbed his first bank, eat in old saloons that now house world renowned chefs, or enjoy the night life of the bars. Skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, mountain excursions...they are all part of the fabric of Telluride. And don't forget to bring an extra suitcase, the shopping is fantastic!
I hope your holidays were wonderful. This is a little late in coming, but I wanted you to know that we enjoyed your condo at Mountain Lodge so much. I wanted to thank you for taking such good care of it and for letting us use it in December. After a few days of seeing colleges in Colorado, we were fortunate to have good ski conditions, great weather and some fresh snowfall before we left.
I will keep your information in my files as I hope to return for a little summer hiking.
My 2 teenagers and I styed here during our first trip to Telluride. We had a fantastic trip and this condo was perfect. Two minute walk and you are on the slopes and a short walk to the gondola that goes to Mountain Village and Telluride. Condo feel with hotel amenities. The ski shop on the property with skis for rent and gear for sale was very nice.
Was hoping for a great experience for the Blues and Brews Festival...and, overall it was good. There were lots of imperfections and I did call/contact the owner to let him know:
The cleaning of this unit is subpar...dirty and dusty..not horrible..but, a huge ring of dirt in bathtub and dust..inattention to detail. He does live in another state--making those who are supposed to take care of this unit less picky, perhaps?
Maintenance needed...leaking faucets, bulbs burnt out..windows that do not stay up and YES..there are only two..the upstairs loft gets ferocious HOT. No air.
Kitchen NOT well-stocked if you plan on cooking/baking. Not even a spatula. We did call and tell him and he told us the maintenance man of his was going to come and bring us something...he never showed.
And, we found out when trying to take the trash to the maids to figure out where to take it..that there are only two units in Mountain Lodge they do not assist with..and, this is one of them.
Luckily, they=the maids for Mountain Lodge, were nice enough to take our initial trash.
Overall-it served our needs but with inconveniences and annoyances..especially lack of cookware.
While the Mountain Lodge resort is great, with nice facilities and a good location, this unit is cheaply furnished, poorly laid-out and cave-like. Telluride is surrounded by high peaks, and the "view" from this place is a parking structure. There are a total of two screened windows that open to the outside. The TV in the living room is mounted over six feet off the floor. We didn't go to watch TV, fortunately, and such an arrangement simply doesn't work. Bathroom door swings inward, within a couple of inches of the loo. When the balcony door swings outward, it bangs into one of the two rather uncomfortable seats, and requires shuffling the furniture so 2 people can sit down. Many better (though perhaps pricier) options nearby.
We had such a wonderful time staying at this condo! It had everything we needed and was so comfortable! The lodge was right next door and the food was awesome! The gondola was just a short walk away. The owner was very nice and the rental process was simple. I would highly recommend this place!
Just got back from the vacation up in Telluride and just wanted to let you know that we had a great time in Telluride. Everything about the place was awesome. Really appreciated how nice the place was and what a great location close to everything. Will be planning to go back and will be in touch
i stayed here with 4 friends(all adults) during the Bluegrass Festival from 6/19 thru 6/24 and we all were thoroughly pleased with the accommodations, location, the adjoining lodge & pool that were available for our use. and the Mountain Lodge management staff was very friendly & helpful even though we were renting from a private owner. they truly went above & beyond in helping us with free shuttle transportation, parking and offering advice & guidance even when we didn't ask but they could tell we weren't quite sure about something. the condo was very nice, great furniture and VERY comfortable beds. the bathrooms were also great. there was a small patio overlooking a stream below that was awesome for the morning's first cup of coffee and reminiscing of the previous day/evening's festivities. it was a short walk to the gondola station and store located in that same area and offered many options for more extensive walking/hiking with magnificent views in every direction. it made going back n forth from Mt. Village to T-Ride and the Festival at Town Park such an enjoyable experience. our group is already talking about next year's festival and staying together again at this condo. it is highly recommended by us!!
