RELAX IN OUR LOVELY HOME ON THE LAKE. QUIET SUNRISE AND PEACEFUL SUN SETS AWAIT

We really enjoyed the cottage and the lake was warm and we could walk right in. My kids enjoyed the kayak and pedal boat. It was close to Lake Michigan and state parks that we visited and enjoyed also. The only down side to this cottage was that there was no air conditioning. It was 90-92 outside and very hot and humid in cottage. Brought our own fans and used one every night in each bedroom and 2 in bedroom where my grandson was sleeping(he is 9 months old) then used them in main part of cottage(dining and living room) during day.
Kitchen was well stocked with every amenity we would have needed. Outside swing overlooking the lake was great.Decks were very nice, used the gas grill almost every night. Bob even got wood for us to have a fire several nights while there. Cottage was very clean and well maintained.

What a relaxing retreat! My 3-year-old daughter and I spent a week at this fantastic destination in September, 2011. The cottage was cozy, clean, and provided all the comforts of home! The property was loaded with amenities and close to town for all our shopping/tourist needs, including the city and state parks. Our first days were spent trying out the kayak, rowboat, and pedal boat, which soon became my daughter's favorite. We went swimming, searched for clams and frogs, and built sand creations on the private beach. Our routine came to include blissful afternoon naps on the outdoor swing overlooking the lake and nightly bonfires (with s'mores, of course!) at one of the two available fire pits. As the weather turned cooler a few days into our trip we took bikerides to the nearby apple orchards, long walks, and a day trip to Manistee.
The owners were very kind, accommodating, and available. They made sure we had everything we needed at check-in, including lifevests for lake adventures and multiple contact numbers.
This was honestly the best week-long vacation I've had in YEARS. If you need to unplug and relax, this is the place for you!! I would highly recommend this property for a family getaway, romantic retreat, or girls' weekend--you won't be disappointed!

My family and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend. The home was equipped with everything you need and then some. My nephew took advantage of the row boat and spent most of the weekend on the lake. Although the weather didn't cooperate everyday we were able to enjoy an evening on the lake....roasting marshmellows. Chilling on the deck. It was a very enjoyable time.
Great place to relax and getaway. Would definitely recommend it.
