A family of six stayed here. This included 4 adults 1 (4 yr. old) & 1 (9yr. old). The rooms were very accommodating. There were plenty of shower towels and plenty of beach towels. The house was very clean when we arrived. I would recommend keeping the fans going while here to keep the air moving inside the house. There is a nice cross breeze. The cooler here was broken and so was bottle opener. My husband asked the maintenance man about getting another one and within 15 min. he was back with a new cooler and bottle opener. The pool was cleaned 2-3 times while we were here. This time of the year the AC at night wasn't needed. I think we turned it on twice and that was it. There is also a few sets of snorkeling equipment. The beach is private. Which was a plus. The kayaks were a big hit with everyone. The alarm system worked very easily. The master bedroom sensor for the alarm went bad. When I called about it within an hour someone was out here to fix it. My husband and I kayaked over to Taylor Bay which was crystal clear water. The whole family kayaked over to the shipwreck. There wasn't much sea life here, but we did see a few star fish, sea cucumbers, one sea turtle, and colorful fish by the rocks. The washer and dryer here were very clean. The grill worked fine for us. Having the outdoor bathroom was a big plus with 2 young boys. Since it gets dark around 5-6 o'clock there are some games here to play. Bring your camera because the sunsets are awesome. We went to Las Brisas restaurant multiple times and by the end of the trip the workers knew our names by heart. You have to try their milkshakes. While at Las Brisas we booked a trip on their pontoon boat which was a big hit with the kids. We were able to snorkel, see the island a bit more, and the highlight was seeing the plane wreck that happened in the 70's. Around the plan wreck were tons of fish and coral to see. I would go to IGA for groceries. Some of us played Golf and basically had the whole course to ourselves. It was beautiful! We traveled up to Malcome Beach, which is amazing! If you love to snorkel you have to take a trip up to Malcome Beach. From the house it was about a 25 min. drive, but it is so worth it. It is secluded, but an amazing place to hang out for a bit. Alooki's restaurant off of Blue Hills was a great place to eat. There isn't anything negative to say about this place. We loved it and will def. be booking our trip back here next year.
My family of six stayed here for a week. It was my husband, myself, my mother, brother and my 17 year old son and his 17 year old girlfriend. The view was absolutely gorgeous! The water was a beautiful color. We spent all of our time outside. The gazebo was our living room from about 6am until 10 or 11pm. This was partly because of the view and partly because it was to hot in the house. The house was very nice and very clean but it was so hot during the day that it was almost unbearable. The only air conditioning is in the bedrooms and as others have mentioned you can only use a certain amount before they charge you. It would have been helpful to know about how many hours you could run it. The kayaks were a huge asset. The teenagers went out every day. One day they went all the way to Taylor Bay. Nice that they provide Snorkel equipment. We did the pontoon snorkel on Chalk Sound (leaves from Las Brisas). Chalk Sound is beautiful. Best restaurant we ate at was Las Brisas for dinner. We snorkeled Bight Reef in front of Coral Gardens on Grace Bay 2 mornings and it was amazing. Saw sea turtles, lots of large parrot fish, yellow tail snapper etc. Go early (8:30am) you will have the reef to yourself then have breakfast at Somewhere Cafe right in front of the reef. Fantastic breakfast at a very reasonable price. Wish someone had warned us about the airport. Flying in was fine but out was awful. So hot in there and they cram about 400 people in a space with 200 chairs. I think maybe summer is not the season to visit weather wise. All that said - the property was beautiful and house was great.
Looking for a vacation rental on Provo for six adults, we wanted a villa that would be convenient, comfortable, quiet, and on a nice beach. Sea Side Villa was all that and more! Max 15 mins from most everything you need while on Provo, we couldn't have been any more pleased.
We were greeted at the airport by property management and were escorted the 10 minute drive to Sea Side Villa. They provided us with a brief yet thorough orientation of the property which was very helpful.
As mentioned in an earlier review the current pictures don't do the property justice. The layout of the villa is ideal. Well thought out, spacious and all of the outdoor space that is so useable. Breathtaking view of Sapodilla Bay from the moment you open the front door through the spacious living/kitchen/dining open plan.
Spacious bedrooms with full baths in each were very comfortable. We used the a/c in the bedrooms at night but did not go over the energy allotment. Open doors and windows with screens provided plenty of cooling breezes during the day. Well equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare meals easily.
We all loved the outdoor areas especially the beach side cabana, pool side kitchen (w/ gas grill) and bar area along with half bath and outdoor shower. Early mornings spent at the beach cabana enjoying coffee and solitude was a highlight of every day. Love the lizards!
Fantastic snorkeling in calm waters right off our own pristine beach. Just a few yards along the shore in either direction you can approach the iron shore and see an array of sea life. When kayaking, we saw sea turtles and manta rays as well. During our stay plenty of snorkel gear available.
Make sure and check the market inside the gas station on South Dock Rd. near the Chalk Sound Rd. intersection - only 2 mins from the villa - very clean and neat they have a lot more to offer than you might expect - bread, canned goods, frozen foods, beer, wine, liquor, ice - and could save you a longer trip to one of the other markets (Quality - 10 mins) or IGA (15 mins). Nice people too!
Restaurants: Make sure and get to Sweet T's (downtown) for fried chicken. Outrageously good and good value! Mr Grouper and Caicos bakery in Grace Bay were great as was Chinson's for jerk and BBQ.
Don't miss the nearby Rock Carvings on the hill above Sapodilla Bay, The Conch Farm and Little Water Cay (Iguana Island).
By far Sea Side Villa was the star attraction for our week on Provo! We will definitely book it again!
This was a perfect house for our vacation with our daughter, son in law, and 5 yr old grandson. Having 3 bedrooms each with its own bathroom provided adequate privacy. The kitchen and dining area were spacious, and having the gas grill at poolside was terrific. We used it nearly every night. The pool was very nice, though we chose to spend most of our time on the beach and in the water. The sea kayaks were definitely a plus. Our beach got eroded during our stay due to an adverse wind and tide, but we were still able to enjoy the water. We hope to be back.
Just stayed here for a week with our kids (13 & 16) and really enjoyed this property. We've done the all-inclusive resorts a couple of times, and decided to try this for a change of pace. Sapodillo Bay is a quiet part of the island and the views are fantastic. After seeing the other places on the bay from kayak, this appears to be the only property with its own private beach. Most of the properties have rocky terrain. The sand on the beach is pretty much powdered sugar - amazing! The pool is fresh water and we used it quite a bit. The setup of the property is well thought out, and if you decide to go to the ocean, sit on the deck, or jump in the pool, it's 10 seconds away. As far as the electricity, if you use the air conditioners in every room every night (like we did) you will go over the limit, so I'd suggest taking advantage of the sea breeze at night. We loved the little lizards on the property, who like to do pushups when they see other lizards. We gave them all names. Bottom line - can't beat this place.
The property is located on the quiet side of the island, only 10 minutes from the airport. The photos of the villa don't do it justice. It is very nice and comfortable, easily accommodates three couples. The pool and deck are wonderful. We used the grill each night to prepare our dinner. The gazebo is a fantastic place to relax and just take in the magnificent views of the water and sunsets. You have your own private beach just off the gazebo. We took the kayaks out a couple of times, great fun. We saw sea turtles while out in the kayaks and from the gazebo. In addition to the kayaks, there are also pool floats and snorkeling equipment available for your use. The IGA Graceway supermarket is about 15 minutes away on Leeward Highway, easy drive. They do have individual air conditioning in each of the three bedrooms but we did not use it at all while we where there. There is usually a nice trade wind breeze blowing that keeps it cool enough. The property was clean and well maintained. It is a great place to just kick back and relax and enjoy the island life for a short while.
