Wonderful apartment - safe, spacious and comfortable

We stayed in this apartment for 9 nights. Communication with Luca was superb. Pick up to/from the airport pre-arranged and hassle free. 55 euro - large, clean van.
Luigi, the owner, met us upon arrival. Building is super secure - gated entrance and a doorman during the day. You need a key to enter the lobby. Elevator a plus.
Apartment was as described - although a little darker than the photos.
Luigi showed us around the apt. - explained the water heaters, dishwasher & washing machine.
The best part of the apartment were the beds. They are so comfortable. We've stayed in some places - hotels/apartments alike - where the beds are just terrible. Not here. They are heavenly.
Plenty of towels - extras if needed.
Location can't be beat. A short (two minute) walk to Via Guibbanari - a wonderful gem of a street for shopping, bars, cheese shops etc. This opens to Campo de Fiore - which is the main reason why we chose this location. Words can't really describe the vibe of this Piazza. Simply wonderful from the morning market, to the nightlife.
In addition, it is a 4 minute walk across the Ponte Sisto to Trastevere - where we spent a lot of time. Wonderful restaurants, cafes (or bars as they are referred to in Italy), a handful of nice shops.
We walked EVERYWHERE. 20 minutes to the Colosseum, 10 minutes to the Pantheon/Piazza Navona.
If I had to note any negatives, here they are:
Upon inspection of the unit, I wish that it could have been a little cleaner. I had to shake out the bathroom rugs into the tub, and also did a little light sweeping in order to feel comfortable.
The bathroom shower is quite small, but we managed. If you are a "large" person, this set up would prove difficult.
The kitchen is a little "tired" but has everything you need in the way of dishes, cookware etc.
We could have used an extra roll of paper towels and toilet paper.
The bedroom that faces Via Pettanari, is greatly affected by the noise on the street. On weekends, Thursday - Saturday, the people walking back from Trastervere/Campo are so loud that it is almost impossible to sleep soundly, even with the windows closed. This goes on until 3 or 4 in the morning. Really. Thankfully, we downloaded a "white noise" app on our iPod that we used - but only after 2 nights of interrupted sleep. Maybe bring a pair of ear plugs, just in case.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat. You won't be disappointed by choosing this wonderful property.
