Three certainly isn’t a crowd at Ocean Pearl in St. Augustine Beach. With three floors, four bedrooms, and two additional sleeper sofas, this beachfront house can sleep up to 13 people with ease, making it ideal for a multi-family vacation, a wedding party, or a school reunion.

Although the house was recently updated and professionally decorated by the owner, who has an interior-design background, sandy feet and wet swimsuits are definitely allowed. That’s a good thing, given that in addition to overlooking Crescent Beach—there’s even a private walkway to its white sands—Ocean Pearl has its own in-ground pool. You can catch some ocean waves in the morning, then enjoy a luxurious swim in privacy at night. Perfection!

In addition to the roomy patio surrounding the pool, Ocean Pearl has decks spanning the front of the house on both the second and third floors. There you can relish the fresh ocean breeze while enjoying a drink and watch seabirds and surfers alike on the beach; the house is in fact located just off a popular surfing spot, so don’t forget your board.

Of course, you can savor the ocean views from inside as well. The open-plan third floor has a wealth of windows as well as a spacious living room with roomy couches (one of which converts to a bed for one), a 50” HDTV, and even an Xbox. Adjacent is a dining area and an open kitchen with a breakfast bar. You can serve the kids at the breakfast bar before joining the adults at the dining table—a setup certain to make everyone happy. With its sparkling appliances and gleaming counters, the fully equipped kitchen will make anyone who enjoys cooking happy as well. There’s grocery shopping nearby, so feel free to stock up on all the food you’ll need for your stay; there’s plenty of room in the fridge, the freezer, and the cabinets to store it all.

Also on the third floor is the master suite, complete with a king-size bed, a TV, and patio doors that open onto the deck—because nothing’s more romantic than enjoying the moonlight sparkling on the ocean in the arms of that special someone. The en-suite bathroom has both a slipper tub for long, relaxing soaks and a shower for when you want to quickly kick-start the day.

Three additional bedrooms are on the second floor, one with a king-size bed, one with a queen bed, and the third with a double bed and a single. All three rooms have their own HDTVs—no squabbling over what to watch. Two full bathrooms are on this floor as well. There’s even a second sitting room with its own 50” HDTV, perfect for the kids to hang out. A sofa in this room converts into a bed as well.

The ground floor has a spacious entryway—talk about making a fabulous first impression!—as well as the garage.

Ocean Pearl is so luxurious, you may be tempted to spend hours, if not days, lazing and lounging inside, on its decks, or in its pool. But because of its prime location—we did mention the private walkway to the beach, right?—there’s plenty to do nearby. The house is just off the stunning A1A Scenic Highway. Nearby you’ll find Marineland, St. Augustine Lighthouse, and a wealth of parks for biking, hiking, and bird-watching, as well as historic St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city. Even the Orlando theme parks are just a day trip away.

Whether you’re planning a relaxing getaway, a family fun fest, or a chance to spend quality time with the gang, Ocean Pearl is a perfect place for it, combining easy living with extraordinary luxury. My name is Steve Milo and I stay in Vacation Rental Homes when I travel both domestically and abroad. I own several vacation rental homes and listen carefully to our guests and their feedback and then opened my company Vacation Rental Pros in 2006! Our greatest compliment is when our guests refer our web site to their friends and relatives. AND, now Vacation Rental Pros is managing over 825 properties in Ft Myers Beach, Orlando, St Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast and Ponte Vedra Beach. Our guests and their great 'word of mouth' have helped us expand to over 825+ vacation rentals. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2014.
We enjoyed the house very much. The only criticisms, and they are minor, were that the center doors on the cabinet with the plates didn't seem to move, making if difficult to get the plates out from the center of the cabinet. Also, instructions on the satellite TV would be helpful, although we finally figured it out. Overall, a great experience and ideal way to spend a vacation in a place that has the "homey" feel to it, allows for freedom and alone-time if wanted.
the towels smelled like mildew, so we had to wash them again, and the sheets in the master bed would not stay secure. The house itself was not bad, but seemed like it had been neglected. The previous renters left several items that were under furniture, in the house, in the car port, in the dressers, on the porch. I sent two e-mails about the trash and the continuous running water in the master toilet and never got a response. Loved the beach (nobody there) and the walk was not bad. This house needs a little upgrading.
Was a nice location to be able to walk two blocks to the beach, Very close to Fort Mantanza and about 30min to St. Augustine tourist town. For the most part, well maintained though we arrived to the 3rd floor air conditioning staying on 84degrees our first few nights but maintenance was on it and eventually it was fixed. I would have to say that there needs to be more towels supplied for a family of 10 and a nice set of towels at that. The towels presently there look like old towels left behind from other guest and all mix and match. Was very nice to have a washer and dryer that held a lot of clothes and nice at that. It is an older home so do not expect it to be spotless. The a/c vents need to be cleaned of mold accumulation throughout the house espec. in kitchen pantry. Overall, my family made it through any obstacle we faced and we had a great time together. Bring bug repellent in the summer. Bugs bite a lot outside and we also got bit inside a lot.
Vacation Rental Pros were so great helping us. We checked into a different house that had a broken AC unit. No worries, they switched us to a better house immediately and our trip was great. Thanks VRP!
I was a little scared at first, no pool and seemed like the ocean was a ways away. But the location was great and we didn't need a pool. We had a lovely time. The many stairs gave me much needed exercise.Walking to the beach also added to that. But the beach was clean and some days we were the only ones there. I am very happy we found this house and the neighbours were also wonderful and friendly. I look forward to returning to Florida again and may just ask for this house again. Thanks..
THIS HOUSE WAS IN POOR CONDITION, SEWAGE BACKED UP TO THE POINT COULD NOT USE THE BATHROOMS, FLOORS WERE DISGUSTING WE HAD TO LITERALLY WASH OUR FEET BEFORE BED,VERY DIMLY LITE, UNDER KITCHEN SINK HAD WATER STANDING BECAUSE OF A FAULTY GARBAGE DISPOSAL. THE KITCHEN IS ON THE THIRD FLOOR, YOU HAVE TO GRILL ON THE FIRST THEN CARRY YOUR FOOD UP 33 STEPS TO GET TO THE KITCHEN AS WELL AS CARRY GROCERIES UP 33 STEPS. NO VIEW OF THE OCEAN. I'M STILL LOOKING FOR SOME OF THE AMENITIES THAT WERE PROMISED, THEY DON'T EXIST. I WILL GO BACK TO ST AUGUSTINE BUT NOT TO STAY IN THIS HOUSE
