One Bedroom, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-6) on Boulder Creek

Our Canyon Retreat sits on our 2-acre property at the western edge of Boulder, surrounded by Open Space, has its own private entrance through an arbor from the ample parking area. And it's just 30 minutes from Eldora Mountain Ski Resort!

The first floor has a small kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining area and living room. There are two pull-out sofa beds for 4 extra guests. The entertainment center has a Blueray DVD player, ROKU for access to Netflix, Amazon for movies and TV series, as well as Pandora for your choice in music. TV access is though Comcast HD and includes movies from On Demand (we do not charge for movies). There is also high-speed wireless internet access for your laptops. French doors open on to your large private deck overlooking the creek, with tables, chairs and a gas barbecue.

On the second floor a wall of glass affords a fabulous view of the creek and canyon walls. There is a queen bed and also a futon -- perfect for children who might not want to stay down stairs. There is also a second bathroom with shower and a large closet.

The large deck is fenced and gated for your dogs. There is a mulched 'potty place' and water bowls just for them. For more exercise, they can play with or without ours in the one acre fenced 'front' yard or you can take them for a Bike Path walk or hike the trails.

The Boulder Bike Path just beyond your front door offers miles of trails for biking and running (3 bikes, helmets and locks are available for your use), Settlers' Park, Flagstaff Mountain and Chautauqua trailheads are all near, and Boulder Canyon Drive leads to the Indian Peaks Wilderness, Eldora Mountain Ski Resort and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Or -- just relax on the deck with a glass of wine and watch the creek flow by -- with an occasional kayak in Spring. If you are a winter visitor, it is a bit like being in an ice castle, with the creek running between small ice cliffs. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing opportunities are close by, and we are only about 25 miles from Eldora Mountain -- home of the CU National Championship ski team.

We look forward to sharing this truly unique setting with you!

About Dorothy Tucker

Our family of 6 began in Pasadena CA but careers in marketing and arts management took us to Old Greenwich CT and NYC. For college, two of our children, Craig and Katie chose CU. We all fell in love with Boulder! While visiting them one weekend, Charlie and I took our dogs for a walk up the Bike Path and paused on the old creek bridge. There we saw an old house on a pond, surrounded by water and, lo and behold, a 'for sale' sign! And, of course we bought it right then and there! Architectural design had been an avocation of ours for many years, so as soon as possible, NYC was in our rear view mirror and Tucker Design Associates, as well as Tucker Walker Group Real Estate were born in Boulder! Our children are grown now and have families of their own, so we don't need the Studio space year around and are very happy to share it with you!

    Pets welcome! Please bring your dogs! We have 2 dogs, a 4 year old male chow/mastiff mix named Shoba and a female boxador puppy named Boo. We have fenced our property so they may play together or separately depending on their moods. Your 400 sq foot deck is gated with a mulched potty place so you and your dogs may live separately from ours. If they choose to play we can put them in the fenced play yard of about an acre, but some of our 4 footed guests have been too mature to play some of the raucous games our dogs think up! You may also walk your dogs on the Bike Path and near by trails. Remember, Boulder has mountain lions, although we have not seen one in years your dogs must sleep inside at night!!

A Classy Place!

We have stayed in many VRBO listings and can honestly say that Dorothy Tucker's Boulder Creek Studio is located in a fairytale location. It is cozy, picturesque and elegantly equipped. We liked the close proximity to the walking/bike trail and enjoyed our walks to Pearl Street, a 3 mile round trip. The photo from our deck of the snowfall will be on our Christmas card this year. The Tucker's are wonderful hosts, respecting your privacy but always there if needed. On our next visit to see our daughter, this is the place we will stay! A contented couple!

This is the place!

Some friends and I went out to colorado to spend a week relaxing and hiking and this place was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, secluded, and run by two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They stocked the whole place with food and were nothing but helpful, even extending our stay by a day free of charge because our arrival had been delayed due to highway closures and snow. This place is excellent and if you're travelling to boulder, you'd be a fool to pass up on it!

Boulder Creek Studio is Beautiful, Comfortable, Accessible, and Perfect!

This studio is such a beautiful, comfortable, and accessible property! The owners are wonderful, and so very attentive. They have put so much thought, and consideration into EVERY aspect of this vacation rental. The breathtaking views outside of every window, and on the deck are magnificent! The creek, always running, is a sweet sound, and the comforts, as if at home, are perfect! The location is excellent...being just minutes away from Pearl Street and any other destination your heart desires in Boulder. I will definitely be back time and again, and will always have wonderful memories of my stay at the Boulder Creek Studio. This is a gem in the mountains! :0)

Boulder bliss

My spouse and I stayed at this property for three weeks and found every minute of it entirely enjoyable. The setting can not be beat and the owner is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with nature, peace and quiet, while still having quick and easy access to the downtown shopping area, look no further.
