Should you ever tire of the beach, a sidewalk runs along the intracoastal and makes a great sunset walk. Tennis, too, is easy to squeeze in any time with fully lit facilities.
Ideally located for quick and easy errands, the Sand Dollar complex is within a 5-mile radius of every imaginable shop and amenity: find restaurants, coffee shops and pubs, plus book stores (for your beach reading) and pharmacies (should you need more sunscreen).
Fort Matanzas National Monument is just down the road (5-10 minutes’ drive) and nature-lovers might, with luck and patience, see the osprey and turkey vultures who call the fort home.
