Nestled on the beautiful shores of South Ponte Vedra Beach is our big yellow house, Napping Turtle. With large windows, 2 levels of beachfront decks, and all the latest amenities, it's the perfect spot for your most relaxing and enjoyable vacation ever!

At Napping Turtle, nothing stands between you and the blue Atlantic but soft sands and gorgeous natural dunes. Wake to the sounds of sea birds fishing for their breakfast in the surf, and drift off to sleep to the murmur of the waves. The sunrise seems to happen right outside your window here, and marine life from dolphins to manatees can be spotted swimming past. It's a little piece of paradise between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, ideal for a beach vacation but also great for golf, sightseeing, shopping, and fine dining. There's something for everyone on our little strip of the coast!

The family room on the ground offers breathtaking ocean views, soaring ceilings, direct access to the deck, and an HDTV -- not to mention ultra-comfortable couches! The cool tiled floor here feels so good when you come in barefoot from the beach, and the ceiling fan adds a fresh breeze to the air-conditioned comfort. Ah, this is the way to relax!

The dining area is adjacent to the living room, right beside French doors leading out to the deck. Indoors or out, it's a great way to start the day: a cup of coffee, a book or your phone (you have free wireless Internet at Napping Turtle, so you can keep your Facebook status updated!), and the vast horizon in front of you, full of possibilities!

The kitchen offers terrific ocean views too, not to mention state-of-the-art stainless-steel appliances, smooth countertops, and a breakfast bar set with high stools. You're just steps from the oceanfront balcony here, so throw open the French doors as you cook and enjoy the salty breeze!

You'll find the kitchen stocked with all the cookware, utensils, and dishes you could ask for -- your only contribution is groceries! No emergency trips to the store to pick up plastic cups or a can-opener; everything is waiting for you here.

When it's time to retire for the night, everyone will be pleased with their bedroom. Napping Turtle has 3 bedrooms plus a bonus room containing a single bed with a trundle, so there's plenty of space to sleep 10. This arrangement is perfect for 2 families traveling together, or a big group of friends.

The master bedroom overlooks the ocean, with a luxurious queen-sized bed and a TV. A set of French doors leads out onto the balcony, opening the entire room to the glorious outdoors. You're going to love it here!

The second bedroom also contains a queen-sized bed, while the third has 2 doubles. This third bedroom is a great place for the kids to all club in together, with their own TV and balcony access. Give the room over to blanket tunnels and pillow thrones, and the children will love being indoors almost as much as they do the beach!

A second bathroom is convenient to the other bedrooms, and a laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer keeps all those swimsuits and beach towels fresh. We provide all the linens and towels you need for every bed and bath at Napping Turtle, along with plenty of pillows and blankets. Come as you are and prepare to have the time of your life!

A boardwalk leads directly from Napping Turtle over the dunes and onto the warm sands of South Ponte Vedra Beach. You'll feel as though you're on our own private beach as you stroll the sands. This is a great beach for anything from boogie-boarding to sandcastle-building to bocce-ball playing, and the whole group will enjoy it.

Come stay at Napping Turtle very soon. You will love the location, the house, and the beautiful surroundings. Discover beachfront living the laid-back way in South Ponte Vedra Beach!
My name is Steve Milo and I stay in Vacation Rental Homes when I travel both domestically and abroad. I own several vacation rental homes and listen carefully to our guests and their feedback and then opened my company Vacation Rental Pros in 2006! Our greatest compliment is when our guests refer our web site to their friends and relatives. AND, now Vacation Rental Pros is managing over 825 properties in Ft Myers Beach, Orlando, St Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast and Ponte Vedra Beach. Our guests and their great 'word of mouth' have helped us expand to over 825+ vacation rentals. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2014.
Unit was very nice. Beach and pool area wonderful. Kitchen appliances good, but utensils lacking. Had to buy cookie sheets to use
Great stay. Clean comfortable beds, sufficient kitchen, flat screens in every room. Had a wonderful time with an excellent view.
We had a super fun vacation here, and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend it. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues while we were there, but nothing that threw off the vacation. The house is older, but has renovations, modern floor plan, and nice furniture, so overall it is very pleasant inside. Ponte Vedra is nice because it's not crowded at all, we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
This was a last minute rental after our original rental, booked in February, cancelled 3 weeks prior to coming into St. Augustine. That being said, Napping Turtle definitely had some problems. The A/C is probably original to the house and was rusted through. We kept the t-stat on 72 and it never got below 77 until sometime in the middle of the night. In the description on vrbo.com, it states there is a stone fireplace and HDTV. Yes to both, however, the fireplace is covered by one of the couches and the HDTV has no HD service on it. The "french doors that lead out to the deck" are so hard to open and shut, we tried to avoid using them for fear of breaking them since the door jambs are falling apart. The "state of the art stainless appliances" consisted of a black/stainless fridge. The stove is black and chrome and OLD. The dishwasher is original to the house, black and OLDER. I truly don't know how it kept going. The "bonus room with a trundle bed" is a total lie. There is a twin bed, no trundle, on the stair landing. No doors, no walls. That's the "bonus" room. The upstairs bedroom is actually the master since it has an en suite bathroom but it not advertised as such. One of the lower bedrooms is advertised as the master because it has french doors to the deck but there is not an attached bathroom. The two downstairs bedrooms share the bathroom in the hallway. The upstairs bathroom, well, words cannot accurately describe it. Disgusting comes to mind. I highly doubt the mirrored wall in the shower has EVER been cleaned. Ever. It's bad. The only good about this house is the view. It's what you're paying for. And it's gorgeous. If you don't mind old, outdated, not very clean, and million dollar views then this is the house for you. I will say that the deck is nice. Outside furniture is adequate. Nothing super nice. But adequate. However, considering the fees that Vacation Rental Pros charges for their rentals, one would expect a higher level of home. This being a last minute rental, I am grateful it was available but renter beware, VRP has exorbitant fees and don't think you are getting a modern, state of the art home for those fees because you are not. At least the VRP reps are nice to work with. No problems there.
For $3,000.00 @ week I would expect that each bedroom would have a flat screen TV. I would also expect that Premium channels would be included in the subscription.
