Best in Carmel
We have traveled extensively in the Carmel area and this was by far the best vacation we have ever experienced there. The location cannot be better, you really do not want to leave even to go to one of the many excellent restaurants nearby. The cottage is warm and cozy with extremely comfortable beds and soft and fluffy linens. Be sure and order firewood to add to the romantic atmosphere. We usually go to Point Lobos and Monterey Bay Aquarium but most of that is really right outside your door. We saw killer whales, hundreds of seals herding schools of fish right onto the beach, playful sea otters, various birds, and many grey whales. One whale entertained us for over two hours. It stayed within ten to fifteen yards off shore the whole time. It was amazing. The family was there if you needed them and our deposit was promptly returned. You could not ask for a more beautiful setting and experience. It was just heavenly.
