We decided to take a 'multi-generational' vacation this year and after a long, detailed search, chose this property. We we rewarded with an outstanding week, primarily because the property was set up perfectly for both family gathering and privacy. The pool was pristine, the outdoor spaces were very inviting and functional and the house was very well maintained and stocked. Each of the bedroom/suite areas allowed for privacy and were very well thought out. The master suite was delightful, with full HDTV mounted over the bed for perfect viewing, and a well-appointed master bath. Pictures don't do this property justice. If you enjoy a mixture of private living and communal gathering in a great geography with conveniences, shopping, and other attractions within 15 minutes, this is a place you'll want to rent.

What a fabulous vacation getaway! Perched on the top of a hill, surrounded by the beautiful fields and woodlands of Bartholomew's Cobble (a property of Mass Trustees of the Reservations), this sprawling residence has everything you could ask for in a vacation home. Hang out on one of the shady decks or terraces, take a dip in the sparkling pool, or stroll the lovely pathways of "The Cobble." The house is immaculately maintained, and the owner and his wife who live nearby are eager to insure your comfort and enjoyment - including providing "surprise" baskets of fresh veggies from the garden in the back of the house, or a few eggs from the chickens that live down the road. Although the house is off the beaten track and quite isolated and private, you're only fifteen minutes from the shopping, restaurants, and nightlife of Great Barrington. And another fifteen minutes takes you to downtown Stockbridge in the center of the Berkshire arts scene. Monarch Hill is a truly a "hidden gem."

Everything about the property was as advertised and then some. Extremely comfortable, clean very well equipped and landlord takes great care of everything. Views and pool were amazing, location is very convenient and we treated royally. Could not ask for more.

Gorgeous home with in ground pool, beautiful garden and lawn, outdoor deck and grill, all top notch. Just a perfect vacation home and rental in the Berkshires. Couldn't have asked for a nicer, more complete place to stay with friends for a long weekend.

Jesse, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. Very professional and helpful with everything throughout our stay.

Highly recommended. I hope we have the opportunity to visit again.
