Le Domaine Suites Review
I have never written a review to any of the places I have traveled to but I wanted to include my information as I find other reviews on all websites very important to my decisions on where we book. I will tell you my experience and what we liked and disliked and you can decide from there. We chose Le Domaine Suites for a couple of reasons. We wanted to be on the French side and we wanted to be on a nice beach with less action around us. Where we stayed you only have 2 resorts, Le Domaine Lonvillers and the Radisson. Both share the same beach and you can walk freely from one resort to the next. The Suite we stayed in was the Premium Suite #3. It was exactly as advertised. The room was a good size, the furniture and amenities looked very new and the room was very clean. One bonus of this room is you get maid's service each day so cleaning and new towels were done daily. The room had a spacious patio with nice furniture that we could have our morning coffee and overlook the grounds and the water. There is absolutely nothing I could say negative about the room. Stephane the owner had an office in the same building and was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and anything we needed. This unit had the best of both worlds. A 4 star apartment on a resort with all the amenities such as beach chair, turned down service, a pool restaurants, fitness room etc... Regarding the area and the reviews I read on the resort here is my take. Many people on tripadvisor said the resort was not as good as the Radisson. I will say that I saw the pool at the Radisson and it was much nicer that Le Domaine. My family was beach bound so we did not care about the pool. The beach in Anse Marcel is likely one of the best in St. Martin. The first night when we arrive we ate dinner at the Radisson vs our resort (due to the reviews) and we had a breakfast on our resort a couple of times. I found both restaurants to be below average. You will always be better served to eat dinner EVERY night in Grand Case. All in all we saved a little more that $100 per night and I thought that the room, resort, beach etc...was comparable. Regarding French side vs Dutch, we traveled around the entire island. French side is more expensive but much more relaxing feel. Better beaches by far. In the end I would chose this resort again, amazing beach, great room, close to Grand Case and a good price for the French side.
