About Sid and Dawn Scott
We are an English speaking couple originally from the US and England who have traveled extensively and chose Costa Rica as our home. Since arriving in Costa Rica our passion has been to help the poor people to take care of their dogs and cats. We provide low cost/no cost spay/neuter surgery, flea/tick medication, help treat mild ailments, deliver low cost food and general education on caring for their pets. Some parts of Costa Rica have so many dogs suffering from sickness and malnutrition that it is a heart break, but not near Flamingo.
Sid and Dawn Scott purchased this villa in 1997
Why Sid and Dawn Scott chose Playa Flamingo
We travelled extensively though Costa Rica on our vacations and continually came back to Flamingo. It is a nice small up scale community on a magnificent white sand beach with gentle waves. With the estuary running along most of the beach it is not crowded by over development and it never will be. The sun shines almost every day, even in the rainy season. It is so nice to wake up to warm air and a lovely sunny day. During the rain, it is a good time for a nap or to catch up on email when the rains usually come in the afternoon.
When we found this lot with easy access to the beach, which is unusual in Flamingo, our fate was sealed. That is when we knew we were here for the long haul and built Casa Mimosa.
What makes this villa unique
The peace and tranquility of the scenic outlook and the proximity to the beach and ocean. Many homes and hotels in Flamingo are located high on the hills and are a considerable hike or short drive to the beach. We are a very short easy walk to the beach.
